A lot of fun, it pokes fun at every cliche associated with the Middle East and terrorism. It’s filmed in that typical mockumentary style that was popular during this time period, however combined with the dirty, green/yellowish colour grade it has more than enough of its own style. The script is razor sharp and laugh out loud funny, I wasn’t entirely surprised to see that Jesse Armstrong was involved because it uses some of those same techniques from Succession. It’s ambitious and treats its touchy subject matter with respect, I could potentially see people finding it uncomfortable but it’s not offensive or stupid. Quite the contrary, the way this challenges your perception of muslims is done in a way that’s intelligent and bold.

8.5/10

The transition in the van from the traditional Islamic music to the Four Lions singing Dancing in the Moonlight had me fucking crying with laughter. Fantastic film, one of the best British comedies I've seen in a long time. Bravo Chris Morris.

Was probably in my top three films I'm most ashamed of not seeing, just because it's so obvious I would love it given everyone involved.
Well, finally watched it and this shit was so good that I'm now on a Chris Morris binge.

Ok so... it's a French movie with english language featuring Muslims with British accents. Brilliant satirical dark comedy, the characters are easy to love and it indeed has a Succession production feel to it (most likely because Jesse Armstrong is part of the crew). The beard joke and the missile fail were my favorite moments. I laughed a lot but I regret not getting a version with subtitles, some of the jokes I didn't catch unfortunately.

"Invisible? Right. Like the time you got on the local news for baking a Twin Towers cake and leaving it at the synagogue on 9/11?"

This dark comedy about terrorists... is brilliant. Riz Ahmed is so good in it and the other actors are hilarious. Hard to believe that this topic would be written in such a hilarious way, but they pulled it off. Definitely recommend.

Great movie that gets details right. And shows that you really have to be mental (or have a mental issue) to believe in right wing (Islamic) propaganda.

I don't remember laughing so hard the first time I watched this. I must have been in the wrong frame of mind. A comedy classic.
