From Judd Apatow and Jason Segel comes the outrageously hilarious comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The story follows Peter Bretter who goes on a Hawaiian vacation in an attempt to get over his break up with famed television star Sarah Marshall only to find that she’s also vacationing there with her new boyfriend. The cast is especially good and includes Jason Segel, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, and Russell Brand, who all deliver excellent performances. Additionally, the writing is well-done and feels genuine; partially because of how raw and savagely honest the humor is, which really works for the film. However, the directing is a bit weak and not all of the humor works. But despite a few rough edges, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a wickedly fun romantic comedy that goes all out.
In my opinion the best of Judd Apatow's movies. I thought it was hilarious and more entertaining to watch over other movies like Superbad, Knocked Up, and The 40 Year Old Virgin.
"Was that genuine or did you fake that?"
Back when I was young I always loved Mila Kunis ever since seeing her in That 70's Show and finally rewatching Forgetting Sarah Marshall after all these years reminded me why. She's funny, beautiful and has an incredible smile.
Anyway the best parts about this movie are Paul Rudd's surf instructor, Johan Hill being such a fan boy, the Dracula musical, those "zoom meetings" with Bill Hader and Russell Brand as Aldous Snow.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is your familiar Judd Apatow produced comedy and I like it. It made me laugh a lot, ending could've gone either way but still made me smile and I still can't believe I haven't seen the Russell Brand spin-off.
It's hard to find much wrong with this film. It starts off with the ever-likeable Jason Segal doing Jason Segalish-things after being dumped. From there we are introduced to other attractive characters in an attractive place. There are some funny moments and the movie plays out how these movies usually play out. I think Kunis makes this movie better than it otherwise might be. I've seen a lot worst and I've seen a lot better.

The story of Gandhi but better - with puppets. It makes me go from 6 o'clock to midnight every time.
For a comedy, it's not very funny, but it's worth watching. :)
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a hilarious movie that's sure to leave you laughing out loud. The characters are all unique and memorable, from the lovable but awkward protagonist to the hilariously eccentric hotel staff. This movie is definitely one of the best comedies of the 2000's, with great writing and comedic timing. Overall, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a must-see for anyone looking for a fun, light-hearted comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Do not agree with IMDB's rating of 7.1/10 for this movie. Think this movie is more in the 5.5 to 6.2 range
4,5/10
