''My name is not Sasha. My name's Anne. And I'm totally gay.''
I love that this movie accurately showed what feels like to be gay, in love and in the closet during high school.
Anne's "best friend" becomes a total bully and asshole, having had a crush on her for a long time (of course without telling her). Because she was supposed to know. Because they were besties! Can we please have queer movies without such annoying characters? Thanks. Dropped.
[spoiler]I think the only winner here was the bike (not a metaphor).[\spoiler]
At first this appeared to be a run-of-the-mill coming-of-age film. The film really developed a nice amount of depth and heart as it went along.

Sensitive depiction of being gay and in love whilst in high school. I'm sure many people will relate to the raw emotion on display in this quietly affecting film.
