This was a great film, surprised I've never heard of it before. Solid prison film, great story, great characters. Very much worth the watch.

I was expecting an over the top prison movie like Undisputed or Brawl in Cell Block 99. It's a more grounded movie (I suppose), and it's definitely not a bad movie but I also never really got hooked. It was crazy to first see Harold Perrineau's character all cute with his son and then see him become a piece of :poop: against prisoners.
I was super tired and even dozed off for a few seconds so this might deserve a higher rating but for now it's just okay to me.
This was really good. I'm surprised I don't remember hearing anything about it until it popped up in my recommended list on NF. Fairly typical story, but very engaging and well acted.
A hidden gem on TubiTV. Never heard of it but it turned out to be superb. I've always had this underlying fear of being caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and winding up in prison, so the longer I watched this, the more it resonated with me and was starting to freak me out. No one has any idea - no matter how "gangsta" or thug they might want to think themselves - of what prison life is really like until they've experienced it…and this movie beautifully portrays the decent into that living hell. Be advised that, because this IS a "prison movie", obscenities and profanity is pervasive. If you're offended by bad language, avoid this one. The language aside, though, this was IMO an absolute beautiful story; so many of the cast played their parts to the hilt, but kudos have to go to Harold Perrineau ( Lost ) for his role as the prison guard lieutenant. If you can deal with the VERY strong language, I would recommend this one. Definitely worth watching again...

truly jaw dropping..you become absorbed.. it draws out all sorts of emotions..great action, acting and drama..must see.
