I enjoyed this one. It turned out to be one of those rare movies where I couldn't guess the ending.
The storyline was great. The acting meh. All in all good movie.
Great movie... you don't know what to believe right up until the end..
10/10
(Had to watch it on the UK Netfix)
I will fight for this film, why is it rated so lowly?
What a great watch, was not expecting it being so good.
Enjoyable and tense fast paced watch, but with a few flaws the more you think about it 7/10.
What I liked:
The element of uncertainty regarding the reality of the main character
This creeping sense that builds up to the finale where things get extremely wild
The twist is good but I think entirely predictable and hinted at a bit too obviously
What I didn’t like so much:
Although unqualified to make too much of a judgement, I feel like the portrayal of schizophrenia is perhaps a little problematic/ dramatised. Sometimes watching it felt like are they kind of exploiting this very real illness to make an over the top story
I felt like there could have been a few more creepy moments with the neighbour whether imagined or otherwise as that actress just nailed the creepy vibe
The twist at the end is basically the dad is a dumbass and never believes his daughter, it seems like literally everything would have been sorted if he had a little faith or was more honest with her
There was one twist that I worked out early on but otherwise, this was a surprising if unremarkable movie.
Not bad as I thought it would be. I'm pleasantly entertained by this one. It's nothing special, mostly predictable, it has that made for tv feel but there are some interesting bits that I genuinely enjoy. The writing could be better but the performances are decent and convincing enough. I can feel the struggle of the lead character. I also dig those hallucinatory visuals and it manages to keep my attention. I guessed what’s real and what isn’t early on so I wasn't shocked at all by the big reveal, but I can't lie those last moments are pretty intense.
Was expecting the movie to be quite worse. I was quite surprised when it wasn't.
The actress was great with portraying her schizophrenia but some of the plot was kinda stupid to me.
First of all, she's living in the new gen era, everyone records or even take pics with their smart phones. When your parents doubt you bout someone being real, "take vids or it didn't happen" pops straight into our heads, you need proof? That's the best way to get one, but she never even tried taking pics of her neighbor when she was carrying the child by the window or even Caleb for God's sake. That alone was kinda stupid to me. MAAAYYYBE the part bout Caleb being real can be excused since it was the imaginary mom doing most of the questioning and she DID gave a good reason how she needs someone to talk to, but her dad did not believe in her seeing the neighbor with a kid, so taking a pic never crossed her mind at all? What gen is she from?Secondly, she kept saying how she can't call the cops because she's gonna get sent to the hospital but hey? Let's go break into their house instead, cause that won't get you sent straight to the hospital.... Makes sense.....NOT
The plot twist was not bad but kinda predictable in some ways. Overall, it's worth a watch.
I quite enjoyed this movie to be honest. It was one of the few I've watched where I honestly didn't know how or where things were going to go and if what I was watching was real or in the girl's head.
This was actually not as bad as I expected. The main young actress who (except for some over-the-top moments) did a solid job of her role, a story was all in all good with a few plot twists, everything was just... you know... ok. I didn't really like the ending and that's why the rating is a bit lower because I was expecting a different outcome, but this is a solid film for a casual Saturday night.
P.S. if you’re looking for a scary horror movie, lets be honest - you won’t find it here. 6/10
Average Movie with partially bad acting. Plus: The Main Actress was annoying af!
Great story and well done as far as making us believe in Rain's schizophrenia and how it torments her and her family. This is definitely worth watching.
