one of the best thinker movies there is!
This movie might be the cause for exam anxiety :D. I am joking. It was a pretty good movie, the kind that gets you thinking, with nice twists and not too predictable.
Just wanna add this movie was called out by a 16 year old. The most important character was wayyy too easy to spot. And the answer to the question would've been revealed so early if the characters acted like real people. I like the dedication to use only 10 actors and a singular location. Smart move on the spending side. Would tell people to watch it! Wouldn't say it has a satisfying ending... and the motives could've been work on. Good to pass the time!
If you frequently do riddles, the answer is obvious from the very beginning but takes an extremely long time to resolve, including a slow motion cut at the end for a 'reveal' that left me nearly fast forwarding the video.
Vague spoilers:
Not only that, but the ending also doesn't match up for me. This interview claims to be for a certain type of company, but the people who came closest to winning and the winner were arguably not the most qualified of the people in the group. I say arguably because clearly the characters (and thus the writers) seemed to agree the winner was the best choice of the lot, but the winner's actual actions and natural outcomes that happened as a result of them do not seem to align with what someone would want for the hiring position...
Bigger spoilers:
The person in second place was a murderous sociopath, the person who won basically sat back and made vague suggestions while not doing much and allowing others to disqualified or even die (as far as she knew.) A leader, or administrator, needs to be able to make decisions, I'd think. Furthermore, two of the candidates who were disqualified were so because they were trying to help someone else, one of which who even has experience in the company. Making decisions rather than light suggestions--especially when someone is being tortured--seems more worthy of a leadership role to me.
What I believed would happen after learning the truth of the company, was a sequence of them going back to hire several of the disqualified agents, in essence, instead of behaving like the notoriously rejected google interview questions, this would have been the personality portion of the test--unrelated to any answers/victory.
Alternatively, if the company had been evil or something, it wouldn't have mattered what type of person (or the competence/willingness to take action thereof) made it to the end.
Overall, I enjoyed the movie, I just think the ending failed to impress.
this is mind fucking. didnt get the last few minutes but it was awesome
Amazing thriller movie. One of the best I've watched.
Dumb movie, but it kept me invested until the end.
Decent single setting movie but I was a little bored.
Not engaging. Not interesting. A waste of film resources.
A poorly written mystery with no motive to the problem solving actions. What problem anyway? Do they ever discuss is logically? Nope, they just react ridiculously for the sake of a movie. Sure the words come out the characters mouths as to why tthey are doing what they are, but what's the motive? I expected a character to do a shit on the floor, after explaining how shit is made, hoping it was something to do with the exam. That's the logic for this job interview. Maybe a characer could jab pencils in their eyes because pf something someones said? What a bunch of morons. Then they question each to try try and have the insider rat feel to the story. Why? For the hell of it. There is zero indication of a rat. No motive again, just a terrible script.
There's a lack of realistic or logical conflict. Its just an arsehole character being a tit. I could forgive it all if the movie was entertaining but It's trying to be serious and clever. It's the equivalent of listening to drunk men in a pub who have all of lifes answers and you're thinking 'just shut up.'
Could not finish.
I caught myself screaming at the screen and hiding behind a pillow at some of the parts of this movie... Loved it. So good.
Thriller movie with puzzle games, an interesting story, it manages to hold you, but some of the solutions are predictable.
I wanted this to be Cube 4.
What a brilliant masterpiece! This movie keeps you hooked and curious till the end. Amazing script and execution.
Highly recommended!
An interesting concept. But the ending seems a little to predictable for my taste.
Just finished watching this film without knowing anything about it beforehand. Its references to a pandemic somehow made it much more relevant to watch right now than it would have been back in the day when the film is released.
Somehow I expected a better, more clever ending to the film but it lacked that element. However, it was a good watch overall.
Would I watch it again? Probably not. Would I make my friends watch it? Yes.
Not bad movie.. Good story and idea, with a not good end for me was needed to be more detailed and explained
Wasn't very excited to know the end, and when I knew it, it was like aha.. It's OK
I am so glad that "White" was eliminated. He was the worst! Decent movie overall.
A little too predictable for my taste. Not really a great resolution either. Not really a whole bunch of gore either. Hmm, why did I give this a 7 again? Well, it was very interesting, and I do like the characters. It kept me on my toes throughout, even if it was somewhat easy to see what the ending would be like. Personally I did not like what the answer was to the question. Anyway, if you like this premise, see it without expecting much. If you don't like these kinds of movies in general, skip it.
A mediocre suspense movie with a few plot holes.
I just watched this movie and I have to say it is getting a 10. I believe its the first one I've given on this site. By far one of the best movies of the early 21st century(or late 20th century depending on your perspective). I'm not quite sure how this got under the radar, but this is a phenomenal movie. The movie wasn't predictable except for Deaf. I figured that he was the CEO midway through. If money is not a motivator then obviously risk would be the best motivator, which made sense that he would be a part of the exam. There were planned twists though-out, which as the viewer of the film, your own mind begins to create the twist as well as to anticipate them. Which adds to the intrigue of the film. Looking back at the beginning of the film, if you pay attention to the details, you will notice that the movie tells you who the CEO is as being #1. Finally, I would have to say this is one of the best films I've seen in at least the first 10 years of the new century. Bravo and give the film an encore!
A really original movie. Great plot and good pace. But the acting, completely uneven.
Some actors were good while some others were simply awful. The "Deaf" for example, is supposed to speak French, but I couldn't understand one single word he said (and French is my first language).
But overall a good movie worth watching.

He states "There is one question" and "only one answer is required." the question is "any questions " meaning (do you have) any questions. Yes or no is irrelevant. There can be any amount of answers but only one is REQUIRED. There is no right answer, no wrong answer. The paper was purely a clue, (and a distraction.) The entire movie is about attention to detail!
