Why is nobody talking about Jamie? The film’s not perfect - nothing is, none of us are - but it’s a funny, poignant, and uplifting tale about being true to your self. Recommended, no matter how you dress and identify yourself!

The movie has a beautiful and touching plot. The musicals acts are brilliant too.

It's not really meaningful.

He didn't even WANT to go to the prom in drag until his best friend suggested it. And she had to sing a whole song about it to persuade him. So, it's not really a convincing movie, since the whole plot is about a boy going to the prom in drag wearing the sparkly red shoes his mother bought just for him. In the end he doesn't even wear the red shoes to the prom or go as a drag queen.

And you don't remember any of the songs once its over.

A fun, feel-good movie! Good plot and cute little songs.

This was a decent adaptation of the stage show and the actor who played Jamie is a ready horn star but this just bordered on ok for me.

[Amazon] Following britfilms about working class, such as "The Full Monty" (1997) and "Billy Elliot" (2000), this film claims the pursuit of dreams. Although predictable, the background runs deeper. "Drag is not only a tv show, it's a revolution". A tribute to the revolution of the 80s, against AIDS and Thatcherism, a path towards the representation of a character as free and at the same time as imprisoned as Jamie.
