Loved this the Amimation is amazing and I connected with the characters never heard of kid cudi but I still enjoyed this film
Beautiful animation similar to Into the Spider-Verse and brilliant music. Not enough character depth or development for a love story it never made me feel anything really. Felt more like a tribute to Kid Cudi by the end. I guess watch it if you're a Cudi fan, otherwise there's not much here.
Beautiful and very colorful animation. Amazing soundtrack.
The story itself is at times cute but a lot of the times I got frustrated as well because of poor communication leading to misunderstandings.
Also silly to me that Meadow would leave her first big event for a guy that still didn't clearly communicate about the problem they had.
But the animation and soundtrack make it an amazing watch!
The weird thing in this is the sex. Or maybe I'm not used to seeing so much of it in an animation. Animation and music are amazing. The story kinda falls off as it goes along. Overall its good.
The story isn't my thing but I agree with other reviewers that the visual element, the art is amazing.
Stopped it at minute 5. Was great aesthetically, and then the main character had a conversation. Such terrible, video game NPC level dialogue and voice acting.
I also feel it was trying too hard to be a budget Spider Verse
I really enjoyed this animated romcom featuring Kid Cudi in the lead role. There's some clear comparison to recent hit film Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse. The music works, the animation is stunning - they did a great job animating Laura Harrier. An easy watch for 90 minutes. But as a few people have said, the story falls off and they really rush the conflict.
Imma disagree with everyone on the Spiderverse vibes. Just because it’s a lower frame rate, in animation, and has a black protagonist is not enough for me to confirm this comparison. Whereas Spiderverse lived in this comic book world dotted colors, vibrancy, and onomatopoeia, Entergalactic is a guy showing me what his acid trip looked like.
This simple story lives in an extremely artistic world with good characters, inspiring visuals, and a fantastic amount of ass.
So colorful - very Spider-verse vibes. Brilliant music.
It's worth a watch if you want to beswept by the magic of NYC.

The animation is absolutely gorgeous
I'm a Kid Cudi fan, so when I heard that his new album had an animated companion film I had to give it a try. Unsurprisingly, I quite enjoyed the soundtrack. That said, the film is easily strong enough to stand on its own and be enjoyed by non-Kid Cudi fans. I definitely feel like there is some Into the Spider-Verse inspiration, which is not a bad thing. The animation isn't quite as impressive as what Sony/Marvel can churn out, but the style and creativity is definitely there and I think they make the most of their budget. I specifically enjoyed the instances where they jump into different animation styles for flashbacks. The voice acting is strong, with Kid Cudi showing the chops to carry the central performance. My only real criticism, which is ultimately minor, is that the high level story beats feel somewhat familiar, rubbing shoulders with some rom-com cliches. Luckily, the moment to moment writing/dialogue is enough to forgive that familiarity, with solid humor and relationship dynamics that feel natural. Plus, the side characters/plots are more unique, which also helps.

Besides having stellar animation and a fantastic soundtrack "Entergalactic" didn't offer me anything else, the story was a bit mediocre and it left me with no opportunity to connect with the characters. Was good for background sound and as a movie to fall asleep to but I highly doubt I'd go out of my way to watch it again. 6/10
