Ok woooooow I actually really liked that. I didn't expect to like it at all, but it was surprisingly cute, had a decent plot, made me laugh, made me tear up, made me slap myself for tearing up, and unlike the last movie, it didn't have any weird, out of place songs like Evil Like Me. Honestly, I might like this better than the first one.
So embarassed to actually like this. Bad but good if you look past the terrible plot. Stan China Anne McClain!
The best movie I’ve ever watched I loved it
A significant improvement over the first movie! The songs are so much better and the silly/cheesy/embarrassing moments are (almost) completely gone.
So many great songs:
Uma and Dizzy are great new characters. Uma is IMO also a major reason why this movie is so much better. She brings in some new dynamics and I really love the accent of the actress.
And, like in the first movie, the artwork and costumes are amazing. I particularly liked the artwork in Mal's hideout and Ben's artwork at the end.
The couples in this movie are also so sweet: Mal and Ben, Evie and Doug (my favorite relationship :D), Evie and Dizzy (so sweet), and Carlos and Jane.
bad things that we love
The only reason this even got a 5 is because my kids loved it. It was overly cheesy, the villains were lame and the ending was a joke, but the kids loved it anyways. Definitely not made with adults in mind.

Better songs and dance numbers than the last one but the poorly executed plot remains. Also, the editing seems like it was done by a child! So many continuity errors this time, like rough cuts and full on hairstyles changes. (Not kidding.)
