What a great family movie. Good cast and acting. I totally got distracted by how gorgeous Cobie Smulders looks in some of the scenes.
The Vince Vaughn comedy Delivery Man is a fun and heartwarming film about family. After learning that he has fathered over 500 children do to complications at a sperm bank, David Wozniak decides to take it as an opportunity to do some good and give his life purpose. The plot’s a little out there, but it has a sincere message about the importance and meaning of family. Vaughn’s performance is solid, and co-stars Chris Pratt and Cobie Smulders are also quite good. However, the film’s a little disjointed and doesn’t do a lot of character development. While it’s not one of Vaughn’s best films, Delivery Man is still a solidly entertaining comedy.
You gonna have to know that I am not a big fan of Vince Vaughn for no special reasons. Sometimes you like actors, sometimes not.
So I watched this movie with the prejudice, that it would be some stupids Hollywood comedy production, where all his kids are following him everywhere, making trouble and so on.
It was a pleasant surprise, that this was not the case! Honestly I was enjoying this movie. Vince Vaughn's acting was not so bad (well that was a surprise), and the writers of this movie really got a little bit into, how it is like to be the father of hundreds of kids and they developed a whole different story of what I did expected.
Trakt says it is a comedy - well kinda it is a comedy movie, but not a crappy, stupid one. I give this movie 7 out of 10 Trakt hearts because it was good; but not worth watching a second time.
So if you have nothing else to do in the evening, watch it and you will not regret it at all if you want to have "okay" comedy entertainment with some deeper thoughts in it. =)
:heart::heart::heart::heart: - Interesting film but the choice of actor for the main character could have been someone else

A sweet, heartfelt movie about family. If I had over 500 kids that I didn't know about, I would spend time with them to.
Average movie. Sub-par acting by Vince Vaughn and some parts of the movie dragged on longer then they should have. The movie was also very predictable and there was not much substance behind many of the characters. The story line, however, was unique. This movie is about a man who has little going for him, as a meat truck driver, who suddenly finds out that he has fathered over 500 children from sperm donations. The man receives a list of children he has fathered, and spends the next couple of weeks unexpectedly following them and trying to better their lives. In the end, he goes to court and wins the right to remain anonymous, however after speaking to his family, he decides to reveals himself, in the best interest of the children. The man also becomes a father himself to a newborn baby.
I like Vince Vaughn and the script appeared interesting. Sucked though. Clichés and predictable. Bummer...
Surprisingly good movie, wasn't expecting that!
I really enjoyed it.
I hated this movie. Its so stupod, who ever thought up the idea of this movie should be executed along with the staff.
Great family movie. Love the story and acting was great.
Persuaded by my date to watch this movie I viewed it a few days ago.
The heroine addict should have never shown up for her job. Not a single foster parent made an appearance. The only obvious homosexual was portrayed as polyamorous. The pregnant girlfriend let the main character back way too easily. Every single offspring that made an appearance loved the main character by the end; no personality conflicts, and for those that did not yet have the chance to get to know him they showed deep compassion despite the fact that they were hugging a stranger. Where the hell did the main character find the time and money to hang about with his offspring? The main character's financial problems were solved deus ex machina by a big bag full of cash by his father. The girlfriend and her fellow police officers, apparently, start their shifts without wearing their bullet proof vests. The civil suit against the fertility clinic by the offspring of Starbuck would never have gone to court since they have no legal right to the name of their biological father. Worse, that civil suit was, somehow, merged with Starbuck's counter suit despite being two different actions and despite the fact that an initial suit has to be over and won before a counter suit can be begun. Nowhere in the real world would a group of young adults be united by discovering they all have the same biological father. Those kids grew more than 20 years in houses knowing only one set of parents and considering those people their family. The question of who provided the sperm is something most people would reply, "Who gives a fuck," to.
This movie can easily be characterized: it took no chances. Instead of trying to make something strong and emotionally brilliant, the producers opted to water down every aspect of this movie and avoid unpleasantness for the guaranteed appeal to the lowest common denominator and the small associated increase in ticket sales.
Delivery Man was not worth my $10 and two hours. I am going to forget this movie.
Though I am not Vince's biggest fan, I had to see this movie once I saw the trailer. The film caught my eye with it s incredibly interesting story and conundrums. After viewing, I give this movie a firm 9/10 stars. The idea behind the story is a bit fantastical but the acting and progression was so good that I was able to buy into it immediately. From the very beginning, this film has a lot of heart and by the end I was very emotionally involved with all of the characters. So go see it! I highly recommend.
