Nice Movie a must watch

Mario Kart but with criminals

One of my favorite car movies. Period. Violent, gory, fast-paced, great characters. Everything I've ever seen with Joan Allen in it, she's great...but she is par excellence in this film. She was cold as ice and you couldn't help but root for something to happen. The beginning of the story seems confusing at first but eventually it all pulls together and makes for a fun, violent, fast-paced movie that is fun almost right out of the gate. I could watch this one many times and not get bored with it.

The dude came out of prison on holiday with a new best friend an upgrade on his wife and his child, he won the race for sure.

I think I have watched this movie more than twenty times.. I'm a simple woman. I see Jason Statham, I watch it.

best car-combat movie.... You should watch it, for sure.

Makes you think when a dystopian future with a collapsing economy and a for profit jail system exploiting convicts is less grim than reality.

The movie is fun, fast, and obvious.

Death Race is the definition of a Dumb Car movie that is just such great late-night fun, if you love films about racing then I promise you will have a lot of fun with this as the film revolves around a prison that runs a race with high-performance cars that also happen to have weapons on them, this leads to some pretty badass moments and also action sequences.

Now it hasn't really got any standout performances as everyone is kinda acting as themselves with the only person who is a little unique is Joan Allen (Hennesy) who I have never been afraid of in a film but she plays the warden so perfectly. But this film is about racing and fights, in that it does deliver as I will say Paul W.S. Anderson is pretty good at those types of things and I have to say just switch your brain off and enjoy this Jason Statham rollercoaster.

WARNING.........this film is very cheesy!!!!

I didn't like the order of the movies. The 1st movie (2008) seems out of place. The next 4 movies are almost like a stand alone movie series slowly explaining the continuing storyline (almost like a prequel to the first which fits in there somewhere). However, the 5th movie was much better with excellant twists.

This is a good and solid movie

Gratuitous and violent, Death Race is an exciting and explosive action film from Paul W.S. Anderson. The story follows a wrongfully convicted man named Jensen Ames who’s recruited to participate in a penal gladiator completion known as Death Race, in which he can win his freedom. Starring Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ian McShane, and Joan Allen, the casting is pretty solid. But this film is all about the car chases and explosions, and it delivers in spades. Anderson does an excellent job at creating intense and thrilling action sequences that engage the audience. As exploitation films go, Death Race is incredibly riveting and adrenaline packed.

I absolutely loved the old Death Race game on the intel 386DX computer I had in....... prehistoric times. So I was very happy to see Statham in a movie with this title. I enjoyed the movie overal, it's not bad.
