Death Race 2 isn't close to be good and I think that's what the movies arming for. The film isn't to be taken seriously, but more of turning off your brain and just enjoy what's on screen kind of flicks.
But there was this one character in this movie that only has a short scene but he was the best part of the film, and he was called Hill Billy. My god, he's the best character period and his only in the film about a couple of seconds. I don't know why he stood out to me if I'm honest, but team Hill Billy all the way.
Besides all of that, the movie wasn't very good.
So bad first part was so good hate the new driver and also how is 14k still alive XD
An action-packed but poorly written prequel, Death Race 2 is mindless fun. After a bank robbery goes wrong Carl Lucas is sentenced to Terminal Island where the Weyland Corporation is experimenting with prisoner combat entertainment. Overall the plot isn’t that bad, and does a fair job at crafting an origin story for the Death Race. The casting is also pretty solid, and features Luke Goss, Lauren Cohan, Danny Trejo, and Ving Rhames; but their characters aren’t written very well. Still, the fight scenes and chases are full of thrills and excitement. Death Race 2 provides an interesting backstory for the series, but the B-movie quality holds it back.
The origin of the race, does not reach the level of 1 neither in the media nor in the rest, but it is well

The origin of the Frankenstein character. Not nearly as good as the first one with Jason Statham but not a bad way to kill an evening. This would actually be considered a prequel to the original but - to me - it makes more sense to watch them in the order they were produced. The acting seemed to be more stiff, more "forced" in this one which was a minor detraction but still... I had forgotten the conclusion to this one but I would say the conclusion alone merits watching the rest of the film. Turn off your brain, kick back, and enjoy this one.
