Dead End 2003

Wow. A Christmas road trip horror that carries plenty of scares, laughs and atmosphere. Exactly the kind of film I love, a very simple concept executed wonderfully. It is twisted in a way that actually freaks me out. The amount of tension and scare is really good here. It's like a recurring nightmare. Just thinking about ending up on a road that never seems to end is already scary to me. The atmosphere is well-created and there's a balance between terror and tounge-in-cheek. The cast is superb, particularly Ray Wise, and the entire family actually feels like an authentic family, with their petty problems. The twist ending is guessable within 15 minutes, but it's nonetheless a disturbing little ride.

One of the most intense Horror/suspense Movies I Have seen! A BIG surprise. I will try not to see the sequel though...

Psychological horror fans, don't miss out on this one ;)

This is a fucking twilight zone episode....
Yeah... Predictable

Thought it was pretty dumb. Any chance of tension or mood gets broken up by bizarre corny humor.

10/10
Frickin Awesome.
I love this movie so much,
Been watching it for 20yrs
Now and it is my annual
Christmas movie by default.
You can't go wrong
With the horror queen
Herself "Lin"
and "Ray" who absolutely kills it and steals the show.
For me Ray is the highlight of the hole damn movie,
He's hilarious without effort.
The pacing is awesome
and it's a solid Christmas movie and a fantastic
Lady in white movie,
I love a good
Lady in White tale
And this movie certainly delivers. Great twist and just a Awesome
Awesome movie and
A bloody entertaining one
at that.
And I myself will continue
To watch it
Year in
and
Year out

It just wouldn't be Christmas without it.

"THINGS I WANT TO DO WHEN ALL THIS IS OVER:

1.) BUY AN ATARI
2.) BE THE COOLEST GRANDFATHER EVER."

'Dead End' is an early 2000s horror movie at its finest, with all the familiar tropes and questionable character decisions that we have been exposed to, but I guess it is a product of its time. Even then, not to say this doesn't have any creepy factor. It's basically about a family during Christmas time who gets lost while driving through a creepy forest and can never find a way out. It's an endless nightmare.

The movie has got a great atmosphere, where darkness fills up most of the screen. The movie does have a dark sense of humor, which surprised me. Although, one terrifying visual is seeing one of the family members being kidnapped and seen in the back of a moving car screaming against the window as it drives away into the night.

Richard (Mick Cain) gets his bottom lip ripped completely off by the Lady in White (Amber Smith), but doesn't even flinch until she drops her dress to expose her naked weirdness off camera. if that sounded interesting and intriguing, watch this movie, because that basically sums up the writing, acting and charm (?) of this movie.
