Completely missed when this was released and I'm so glad I got to see it. The two main characters are extraordinary and so beautifully brought to life by the cast in all their madness, eccentricity and theatricality. For a short moment, the movie gives a glimpse into the source of inspiration for his paintings.
I was looking forward to seeing the legendary Amanda Lear too but oh my what a car crash that interpretation was. Hated that. And if it matters, Amanda is a cis womam passing herself of as trans for publicity, played (awfully) by a trans actress who confusingly drops her voice and speaks in a very odd accent, exuding zero charisma . Painful to watch.

It was an interesting movie about his life, but it should have shown more how talented he really was.
Dali was an absolute genius, an amazing artist and I wish the movie was more about his work instead of his cheating, money hungry wife or his assistant James.
I wanted to have a look inside his mind, and this movie didn't really give me that.
