Pretty lame attempt at replicating and mashing up the successes of Scream and Ginger Snaps. There are a couple fun beats, Christina Ricci tries her damnedest and the Hollywood setting is pretty cool, but overall this is just a lame dog. It's really unfortunate that the studio interfered soo hard, because you could see the seeds of something pretty cool, but instead we get a goofy werewolf movie, with horrendous CGI and groanworthy jokes. I wish I could see that original cut.
I'd like to think that the ending is that Jimmy decided to be in a polyamorous relationship with both Bo and Brooke.
When Bo came out and confessed to Jimmy, that was so cute. I would love to see Milo Ventimiglia play a gay romantic lead or love interest. That would've made this movie 10x better.
It's pretty much exactly what you expect it to be. It's not terrible or unwatchable, but it's the kind of movie you let play while you're doing something else that's occupying your real brain cells. I'm sure if I'd paid complete attention to it I'd of felt like I wasted my time.
Are you sure this isn't a vampire movie? Because there's a pack of talent in this cursed movie that sucks out everything fun in horror movies. And when I say 'it sucks', I mean really hard.
Streamed via HBO Max
That was a disaster. It's a shame because I really like seeing Christina and Jesse in one film. I remember laughing during the first act but most of the time it's incredibly boring and unfunny. Yes, it's cheesy but I don't think it's campy enough to be in my so bad it's good list. Not a fan of the crappy CGI werewolves. Can't believe this is a Wes Craven's film. I'm really disappointed.
The creative team behind Scream, Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson, come together again for the supernatural thriller Cursed. After being attacked by a wolf-like creature Elle and her brother start to undergo some strange changes and begin to suspect that they’re becoming werewolves. Starring Christina Ricci, Jesse Eisenberg, Milo Ventimiglia, and Judy Greer, the cast is rather impressive (though their performances aren’t). And, the film does a fair job at creating mystery and suspense. However, the CGI werewolf effects are extremely poor and don’t deliver any frights or scares. An underwhelming and subdued horror film, Cursed doesn’t offer anything new to the genre.

My review will be what Judy Greer said in an interview in 2014:
