A very strange film. The romance, the "car romance", the road trip, the chase, and especially the redemption – none of the parts really worked, everything was missing something. Always coming so close to being fun, but then coming just a bit short.
I had watched Twins with Arnold Schwarzenegger just the day before, and coincidentally, these two movies must have some of the best "after first sex" scenes ever (Arnie's face! Hamill's song!), I'll give it that.
lovely movie about a boy and his car in this cruel unfair world. really great story. i enjoyed it. it was good to see mark hamill in other character than luke skywalker.
