I forgot I had seen this. Watched it again. Not awful.
Bushwick is a gritty and intense apocalyptic thriller. A college girl who’s coming home to see her grandmother teams up with a stranger in order to navigate the streets of Brooklyn when civil war breaks out and a paramilitary group attempts to seize control of the city. Brittney Snow and Dave Bautista both give fairly strong performances, however, the writing is a little weak; the plot in particular is rather hard to follow at times. Still, the fights and chases are suspenseful and exciting, and are heightened by the atmospheric directing style. It’s a little underdeveloped, but overall Bushwick is a solid action film.

A surprisingly well put together action film which wandered astray only a few times and even then not too far away from the unpredictable climax.
Sterling performance from Dave Bautista. Masterfully edited to feel like a seamless accompaniment of our main protagonists.
Dave shows once again that he has some potential. Snow proves once again she does not.
Loved it. Tense, non stop action somewhat similar in feel to Children Of Men. Not perfect but still very much worth a watch.
The dialogue feels like it’s improvised by a bunch of first year drama students. Things happen and the reactions feel like they’re all at the wrong scale. “OH MY GOD MY BOYFRIEND BLEW UP! OH WELL.”
dave is as trash as this entire joke of a movie was. complete waste of time! zero stars! dont watch!
Especially after Nov. 3rd a very important movie. A look into the future?
Birdemic like graphics. But with recognizable actors.
Horrid movie but mildly entertaining if you enjoy skipping through movies, live in the NYC area, or don’t mind every single main character dying. Ending was a twist i guess but failed to deliver. The whole idea of this movie - unknown militants invade a Bushwick and the neighborhood fights back - would be a great movie but this isn’t it. Horrible/unnecessary CGI effects and illogical plot lines.
This movie is borderline racist. it's also a terrible film in writing and plot. If it wasn't on Netflix, I wouldn't have watched it.
This could have been a good movie. Despite the low budget, there is some talent behind the camera. Sadly, a weak script and some bad acting scupper the production. Shame.
Someone wrote a rather good script a video game,
it was intended as cut-scenes between playing the game.
Unfortunately, at one point it was changed to be a movie script.
Because of this, we are left with movie that is empty of soul.
Main characters are one-sided with just enough quirky so you think they are interested,
the action looks like going through a game level.
all the extras act as NPCs, and side characters look like quest givers.
Actually the whole movie seems like its only job is to get us to the end of the movie.
Other than this film crew did a good job.

No, it's not a great technical movie. it IS Low Budget... BUT the pacing is great and there are some fantastic long shots, and music by Aesop Rock, don't avoid it because of cinema snobbery reviews, it's still fun.
