Bullet Head 2017

omg, what a waste of my time. talk and talk and talk....boring. 2/10

Not really sure what this was. A bit like reservoir dogs with nostalgic stories.

Bullet Head is an intense and frightening indie drama. After pulling a heist three criminals hideout in an abandoned warehouse but soon discover that it’s an underground dog fighting ring, and that one of the dogs has snapped, having killed its owner, and is on the hunt. Featuring Adrien Brody, John Malkovich, and Antonio Banderas, the cast is pretty impressive. And, the writing does good job at developing the characters. The dialog in particular is especially strong. Still, the plot is rather thin and could be beefed up a little, and the directing could be better. Yet despite its problems, Bullet Head is a suspenseful crime thriller.

Felt like a waste of time unless, perhaps, you're an avid John Malkovich fan. The film had potential with its promising ensemble cast, including John Malkovich, Adrien Brody, and Antonio Banderas. Unfortunately, it failed to live up to expectations. The plot felt uninspired and somewhat predictable, making it a forgettable entry in the crime thriller genre. If you're a devoted Malkovich admirer, watching Bullet Head might be worthwhile simply to witness his talents on display. That said, for those seeking an engaging and memorable cinematic experience, it falls short. It lacks the depth and excitement that typically characterize thrilling heist or crime movies. Unless you're watching solely for Malkovich's sake, you might want to consider other options for your movie night.

Bullet Head is a dog show: boring at all the wrong moments, interesting at the right ones, but overall a waste of everybody's time.

A stellar cast out performs the melodramatic material in this wannabe action film framed as a dog story anthology.

Bullet Head is a slow burn Drama/Thriller moved along with well rounded characters and a simple yet effective script. The plot is simple, three criminals and a dog stuck in a VERY large warehouse. It’s very dialogue heavy, like seeing a good play. WARNING- it’s not at all a blood bath of bits and bullets really just “old dogs” telling stories.

Solid caper-gone-wrong movie. It's claustrophobic, where these criminals are trapped in an old warehouse after a job with a killer dog, out for blood. It has some great character development with some real fine performances. A lot more than you normally get with a film like this. Good crime film.

One hour and forty-one minutes too long

A confused film - think Marley and Me, Cujo, and any one of the many crime gone wrong thrillers of the last 50 years, all mixed together. There are some effective moments - Brody vs dog springs to mind - but the narrative jumble mutes the impact.
