People need to watch it for what it is. This is a limited budget movie that was mainly funded by the protagonist Boone(John Hennigan). The guy sold his house to finish this movie. The first 10-15 minutes might be kind of cheesy but it gets better and you really get invested to the plot. It is uniquely filmed, cool plot and most of the scenes were taped in 2-3 takes or at times just once but still ended up great. Boone does the actual stunts. i suggest you watch the bloopers in the end and be in awe by what an athlete Boone actually is.
