Big Time Adolescence 2020

This is basically a "Stay in school, don't do drugs, kid" 90min long PSA

It was basically like, what if we took the plot of a high school comedy and treated it seriously

It's the kind of movie that your parents would love to make you watch with them to teach you a lesson, like, "see what happens when you hang out with delinquents?"

In the end it was about as fun as being lectured by your dad

7.5, Overall liked it, love Pete (Ik, many people don't) and him basically playing himself always works great, and Griffin was also a good fit, Story isn't that deep or special but its still entertaining
"fun fact": guess I never heard Cryer´s voice before (im German) bc I thought it was somehow the same as Pete´s xD confused me a lot lol

You come for the Pete Davidson and you sat for the kid. Cute watch. Not much of a big-time coming of age realization. At all.

Everybody did a decent job except Pete Davidson he sucked and he’s really hard to look at.

The film is small time rather than big time, but the core relationship at the heart is engaging, and it's a painless watch.

He got expelled from a public school, for something he did off school grounds, at a non-school function?

Yeah, no. Not how it works. Stupid ending to an otherwise decent movie.

That wasn't a bad film, had a deep message and Pete Davidson's role was very similar to his last film and he does a good job playing that kinda role, i'd like to see him in more.

An example of more intelligent teenage cinema than usual. The elements are the usual ones. But the introduction of an adult character who is at the same time a model of growth and regression offers an interesting element. It is an inconsequential but clever film in the development of the main character.
