This sappy drama set in a small town is based on a novel written by the director. It has its moments, particularly when Elizabeth Taylor comes to visit, but otherwise this is made up of a series of vignettes, key moments are rushed through and it lacks cohesion. If your not a fan of lead actress Ashley Judd, beware! She is in nearly every scene and whilst I admire the actress, her character's wholesome charm grates after a while.
