It's somewhat hard to fathom how this movie wasn't better than it was. But there it is.... it was just ok. We've seen the "odd couple from different generations" done much, much better than this movie. Aubrey Plaza deserved better than the middling dialog that she is given here.

Plaza and Caine are wasted in this meandering movie. The script is weak, the chemistry is lacking, and in its attempts to evoke sad emotion, t fails to earn any tears.
