Good performances save this sometimes preachy drama. Its semi-autobiographical, partly based on the director's own son, so this is clearly a heartfelt piece. Its also a reminder for the judgemental. We are all human no matter what our addictions; we need to be given a chance on the road to recovery.
thoroughly enjoyed this film. it really tells the story well it's realistic,heartfelt, really helps you see the dark side of drug addiction and what it does to people. There was good contrast on the other side, showing sobriety & how it can be very beautiful. if you've ever struggled with drug addiction and battled demons this movie really hits home.
Obwohl "Being Charlie" kein so krasser Drogenfilm wie zB. "Requiem for a Dream" ist, lässt mich auch diese Story etwas deprimiert zurück. Die Schauspielerische Leistungen sind gut, die Geschichte ist interessant umgesetzt und der Soundtrack gefällt mir.

A good one from nick robinson, hope to see more from him, he’s a good actor. I thought the script was great with some deep moments and some emotional ones. I recommend.
