Animation isn't bad. But it's yet another interpretation and the horror element with all those monsters doesn't work for me.

They tried to cram way too much in for the 80-minute runtime. The Lovecraftian-inspired element was also rather weak.

An intriguing film, as it stands out as a unique take on the Batman universe. This production brought a radical twist and inserted a significant dose of magical elements, adding considerable weight to the events of the plot. In short, it's a good film for those who want to experience something completely different within the context of Batman.

Hmm, so many things wrong with this but at least it wasn’t as bad as the cat woman released recently. Need to do better DC this was well underwhelming to say the least!

I can understand why this might not be everyone's cup of tea but giving the story a supernatural premise is kind of nice for a change. A gloomy 1930s Gotham really adds to the ominous vibe also. Animation and soundtracks were solid as usual, although it would've been nice to see a backstory of Bruce meeting his protégés.

Solid film with an interesting plot. The only issue is that it doesn't flesh out certain things like some characters. It expects you to know the characters as they show up, which isn't a bad thing but can be an issue for less knowledgeable watchers. The ending was a bit corny as well. I would love for this to be a show instead. More time to flesh the history out and get to the smallest details.

I’m flexible with mostly everything I watch. Especially Batman animated movies. I don’t mind that each one is different. That even sometimes we’ll get a Samurai Batman movie or him in the early 1900’s.
Batman: The Doom That Came to Government is another one that is different than usual Batman. I don’t get the hate, since it’s well made.
David Giuntoli (Grimm) does good voice work as Bruce/Batman. Though it would be nice if he stopped just starring in the weird ones.
What I do like about this kind of Batman movie. Is that no one is safe. Any Batman ally can die.

I did not realize this was an Elseworld story. Personally I kinda hate the DC Elseworld stories.
I did not enjoy this but you might.

How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

The voice acting/actors were horrendous, less say one or two.
