White girls look gorgeous in Sarees. Seriously. Any ordinary looking white girl ends up looking like Elizabeth Hurley the moment she dresses up in a Saree. IMHO. Now you know why I started watching this. :grin:
Not the best movie. It did have a few moments that made me chuckle, like the whole Monkey Masala thing. The movie has a 'made for TV' vibe to it. I wish it didn't attempt to be a musical though. Brie Larson singing like a Bollywood actress was painful to watch.
Sweet and cute Basmati Blues puts a smile on your face even in your moodiest day with people bursting into songs about rice production and over the top do-gooders who eventually win over the greedy and soulless business tycoon, it makes you wish life was that fair! What I'm saying is that this movie doesn't take itself seriously so you can just do same, turn off your brain and have a nice time ...

If you're looking for a decent Bollywood movie, watch Lagaan.
If you're looking for a decent movie...do not watch this cheeseball attempt. Mostly dreadful.
