I thought this was totally rad. Such a great, hilarious film with an aura full of heart at its core. Characters played by such beautiful, talented actresses with such a fun and heartwarming plot. Highly recommended! What a laugh!
looked for bad santa and i got bad moms. movie was sooo funny, reminds me of girls trip but not black but ofcourse this movie came out first. Fun and funny moments, real raw comedy, feels like seth rogan or somebody was in the background. super good funny movie though. 9/10
I'm probably not in the target demographics for this movie, so I don't know how relevant this very short review will be.
Bad Moms is...well...bad.
I like most of the actors...they do a good job with the little they were given, but when there is no plot to speak of, the jokes that shine through is the total outrageous ones. And yes...they are really outrageous. Don't get me wrong...I laughed at most of the dirty jokes. I'm a male...sue me. But they didn't fit the mood of the rest of the movie.
Bad Moms is a movie that tries too hard to be both "shockingly funny" and take on a somewhat serious issue. It really doesn't succeed in any of that...except maybe moderately funny for those with an inkling towards juvenile humour.
If you are going to take this one on...do watch the end credits. Actually the best part of the whole thing.
If you see the poster to this movie, the R rating and the fact it's from The Hangover producers and you think oh cool, this looks like a fun time...YOURE WRONG. DO NOT SEE THIS PIECE OF SHIT. ITS NOTHING LIKE THAT. This is a Katherine Heigl type movie with the F word. Man it was terrible. Also it's not an ensemble piece. This is ALL about Mila Kunis' character. Bell and Hahn are nothing more than her new friends. I can't believe I saw this in theaters. I wouldn't even Redbox this pile of garbage. Would have walked out if I wasnt a weirdo about finishing movies. SO BAAAAAAAAD
Good laugh.. super cast... had me in stitches at moments... XD
It's not great, but it's not completely terrible either. It has its funny moments, and in other places it just falls flat. So good as a one time viewing popcorn movie, but not much else. I'm not a big Mila Kunis fan, but she did a good job in this movie.
Better than I expected. There is plenty funny moments in the movie.
unfortunately, I didn't make it through the movie but the first half isn't too funny or entertaining.
I found 'Bad Moms' entertaining.
Mila Kunis carries it I must say, without her I think I'd be rating this a fair chunk lower. She is amusing and keeps the film chugging along, helped by the pacing and music which also move the film along nicely. There is a good amount of gags, I certainly enjoyed watching it.
Away from Kunis (Amy), you have a whole host of recognizable faces. Kristen Bell (Kiki) and Kathryn Hahn (Agath..sorry, Carla) are pleasant in their respective roles, Hahn is borderline irritating but I'd say she sticks to the right side just about. Christina Applegate (Gwendolyn) and Jada Pinkett Smith (Stacy) also feature, as does Wendell Pierce (Daryl). Shoutout, also, to 'The Walking Dead' alum Ann Mahoney.
There are also sweet end credit scenes. It's a lot better than 2017's 'Fun Mom Dinner' too, no doubt about it. Interested to watch the sequel.
THE WACPINE OF ‘BAD MOMS'
WRITING: 4
ATMOSPHERE: 5
CHARACTERS: 7
PRODUCTION: 6
INTRIGUE: 3
NOVELTY: 3
ENJOYMENT: 4
The Good:
Christina Applegate makes for a pretty nasty and unlikable enemy for Amy, while Kristen Bell fits the role of the awkward and slightly slow-minded friend fairly well. Kathryn Hahn is the big winner though, fully embracing her harsh bad chick persona in a deliciously ravishing performance.
Amy, Kiki and Carla form a pretty well-oiled trio, and despite their stereotypical characters they complete each other well.
There's something oddly fascinating about Oona Laurence and her performance here. I don't usually find child actors very good, but Laurence shines in most of her scenes.
I kind of like the soundtrack. It fits the rebellious lifestyle the mothers adopt and supports the events of the film appropriately.
Amy's speech at the end is sufficiently inspirational and the only moment in the film I felt had a strong comedic vibe.
The Bad:
Mila Kunis is no acting master, and Bad Moms doesn't prove the opposite. Her dramatic acting is fine but the comedic acting is not very good.
A lot of the comedy was dated already when the film came out. Why all this slapstick and all these poop and sex jokes?
Sadly, the plot takes a generic comedy set-up, makes the male leads female instead and doesn't do much else innovative with its premise. Focusing on looser mothers "going bad" and endlessly bashing on incompetent fathers doesn't make this film funny or its attempts at social commentary successful.
The script sees our main trio talk about penises, drink loads of alcohol, and behave like teenage girls. That goes on forever and in the midst of all that the plot just disappears somewhere. What little remains is very childish, which only makes the actors involved look awkwardly bad.
The Ugly:
I'd much rather watch that Gravity rip-off the moms were watching in the cinema.
WACPINE RATING: 4.57 / 10 = 2.5 stars
Ugly and vulgar, Bad Moms is a raunchy comedy about rebelling against the image of the suburban soccer mom. After being pushed too far overworked and overstressed wife and mother of two Amy Mitchell quits the PTA and takes up with a new crowd that helps free her of her inhibitions, but her children soon get caught in the crossfire between her and the PTA president. The cast isn’t too bad (Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Christina Applegate), but they’re all stuck playing pretty unlikable characters. And the comedy is mostly low-brow sexual humor. Yet the film tries to tie a nice bow on everything at the end with a speech about how everyone is a “bad mom” and doing your best is good enough. But this last minute turn fails to save Bad Moms from being the complete clusterf**k it is.
Chauvinists might feel angry and intimidated by this kind of movie.
I thought it would be fun to watch, and it was but it's actually more than that.. Moms are so great and we're so ungrateful ):
Great movie and great cast. The credits scene with the actresses and their moms was such a brilliant addition!
I also noticed and loved that each actress took after her mom, lots of girls do I guess, but I find it kind of heartwarming for some reason.
I thought it was gonna be bad but it was actually really funny.
Good soundtrack too.
mila kunis i fucking love you
This movie made me long for better roles for women. It's part of the new wave of 'imperfect female' roles, ensemble chick flicks that try to be smart and witty. I found it fell short of a Bridesmaids or Pitch Perfect level of smart humour. The plot is familiar and stale, and women, especially these actresses, have so much more to offer! Not terrible, but not what it could be, either.
Just because there a good cast, does Not mean it's worth the time out of our lives to watch it.
Terrible. ..just terrible!. And to think these is a sequel coming out!?!?. What has happened to the movie industry. There jonesin' for some good screenplays!!
I saw this with my mom and we laughed like, a lot! Loved it. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hann crushed it, just like Christina Applegate, Jada Pinkett Smith and Annie Mumolo. Absolutely loved it.
Best part of this is the actresses and their Mums chatting at the end.
Great comedy, funny and emotinal. Great acting and beautiful actresses. Amazing soundtrack.
This is film is a great choice for a sunday afternoon comedy. Enjoy!
Buena comedia, divertida. Nos muestra que si estas mal, la solucion es cambiar de pareja, comer, emborracharte, drogarte, renunciar al trabajo y malcriar a tus hijos. Y q haciendo todo eso, logras lo que queres en la vida.
verre nice and funny movie a must to see for a good film night
I regret giving it a try, it is sooooo damn overrated. It filled with characters you don't care about, pathetic attempts to joke and occasional swearing that doesn't make sense. If you are a type of person that appreciate actual movies with a plot – stay the F away from that piece of crap
It's the prototype of guilty pleasure for me. The movie went full retard, and was way sexist at some point, but I laughed my ass off.
This movie was so much fun! Loved it.
This was way better than I expected. Great movie to have a laugh with friends
thought this was pretty good!
Great film, had the wife and I in stitches, well worth a watch.
Better not treat this movie as rule book for maternity ;>
good and fun comedy, loved it from the start
Hot drunk milfs...is Katherine Hahn getting hotter with every movie...stay golden ponyboy
Couldn't stop laughing throughout it, it was so funny! Kathryn Hahn's character is the best thing about the movie she's so funny! I also love Mila's character/performance too. And also Kristen Bells.
At times you will enjoy yourself. At times you will seriously question your taste in movies. Overall, it's not a mess. It's just predictable. But it's ok
At times the comedy and story are forced and predictable. At other times it is actually quite hilarious. Was destined to be a 6 out of 10 but I raise it to a 7 for its laugh out loud moments. These moms can be quite bad but they are funny with it.
What can I say? At least the movie was somewhat entertaining and fun… And nowadays that's a record as most are simply unwatchable or extremely boring.
Times are changing, and with it, rules are climbing to an all-time high. I see it, you see it, we all see it…and at some point in our lives, we have to ask ourselves when enough is enough. Where is the drawing line between the two extremes of being good vs. being bad? We live in a two-sided system for practically everything in life regardless of the fact that nothing is that simple. In the movie Bad Moms, we are told there is a line thats drawn between the extremes of good and bad parenthood, and the movie decides to tackle that question head on…in an r-rated comedy kind of way.
This film actually faces a very important issue in today’s world. It talks about how society deems you proper and all-around “good” if you follow instructions like a good little girl, but in actuality makes you more and more like a robot. Limitations, regulations, what you can’t feed your kid, what you can’t do or say…basically…theres an unwritten law of how to be a parent and if you do it any differently, you’ll be shunned. This movie tackles that issue really well, but in my opinion…I’m not sure it should have been a comedy. The humor itself wasn’t terrible or dry, but it also wasn’t the funniest material in the world either. In the end, I found that it felt more like they were making fun of a serious issue than respecting and/or changing it.
Because this film wanted to be an r-rated comedy, it went a direction that travels beyond the scope of the premise. They want to be “bad moms” by standing up to “the man” and not following all the rules in parenthood, but they do more than that. Ladies and gentlemen, the so-called bad moms were simply bad citizens, because when they skip work, cause a scene in a grocery story, threaten a security guard for laughs…that’s all actually bad for themselves – moreso than just being bad parents. Sure, it all comes down to the fact that you’re role models and everything, but in my opinion – it should have kept things simple and stuck with actions exclusively connected with parenting.
No, it’s not a bad movie. We have a pretty decent cast that all do a good-enough job, a story that has a good amount of heart at its core, and some laughs that are sure to make a certain audience laugh – but it’s not really perfect either. I’ve seen better comedies this year in general – so if anything – rent this movie and see what you think.
6.7/10
Despite its very cliché and basic script, it was not that bad, it was enjoyable
i didn't get what i expected, it's way BETTER, love it. when u see the trailer u'll think this another movie about women's (single women's) in life struggling, but waw it was betteer.
So when is this going to be on

Guy movie in girl clothing. Not funny. Lame characters. When the characters are rebellious it feels cheesy. In fact when they do anything it's exaggerated and obvious. The slutty character is especially really annoying. The dialogue is the over familiar American sitcom style. Felt like a bad version of Friends sometimes. Sometimes it's like a teen flick. Like when they sit down naming the mother stereotypes as if it's school stereotypes, because she needs to win vote that feels high school rival.
Really good movie.
There was laughter and lots of fun. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn were amazing to watch.
I was the only guy on the theater along with around 10 other woman. Not that great of a film, didn't laugh very much except from some blown out of the proportion situations. Maybe if you are a mom.
I've got few good laughs. Film can be offending for some people as it touches things that you can probably find in every family. Not everyone likes to be confronted hence lot of low ratings like 1 or 2. Don't hate the cinema people!

This movie is pretty good! It's fun to watch. The thing that is even more fun to watch for me are the ratings.
A lot of guys rate this movie a 1 and say it's shit and not funny at all.
Don't listen to that... It's most likely just because this movie is about strong independent ladies that stop taking bullshit from their guys.
Maybe it's not the best movie in the world... But it definitely deserves way more than just a 1.
