This is a slow one. Maybe a little too slow but at least it felt more closer to what it would really be like. I kind of liked it. Unfortunately seeing the robots walk made me sigh. If I would do a robot movie I would make one thing damn sure: that it won't look like the robots must fall over when they walk. This was sort of cheap.
It was alright. I liked the idea behind it and the acting was decent especially the lead. But you felt no connection to the robots and the ending seemed drawn out.
Now that's a proper sci-fi movie with authentic feeling of dystopia without 100% relying on green screen method. The setting, ambiance, tone and the way A Banderas carry himself made this movie an interesting dystopia feeling. A solid good BGM here and there helps carry the mood as well.
As per the plot, the movie lost it's pace after they entered desert - quite lengthy.
A Banderas performance was applaudable.
The story and realisation felt meh, but the idea behind the movie is awesome.
And it sure is beautiful.
Interesting movie and certainly a different prospective on Asimov's rules for robotics. Reminds me a little of a cross between Blade Runner and Babylon AD.
An interesting take on the laws of robotics (not exactly Asimov's laws).
Be advised, it is definitely not a feel good movie.
Horrible. Bad acted and evidently a low budget movie. Special effects were terrible. Shallow plot. Please don't waste your time.
Tiene lo suyo, sin mucha pantalla verde y termina siendo agradable visualmente.
The first 30 minutes were interesting but after they entered the desert it went downhill.
Antonio Banderas was good. Moody sci-fi. My only issue was that it slowed down in the second half. Other than that I liked it.
I watched with excitement until desert and then disappointed.
Jacq is very grouchy when enter desert scene..(i am angry this character.)
Please don't waste your time.
The movie is ok, nice robots, nice dialogs and acting. The end is weak, too weak.
Had potential but in the end didn't deliver.
I give this film a fair, because it had more positives than negatives, It wasn't good or bad but in the middle. I went into this movie mostly because of the lead actor that did an alright job. I think it could of done better if they worked on it more. It seems that it was a rush of a film so too bad because i think the script was good.
meh... it's something... maybe not worth the time to see it. I'm sure i'll never watch it again
It starts well, but when they go to the desert, the film deflates.
In the not-so-distant future, following a global catastrophe that's cut the world's population by 99%, most of humanity's work is carried out by mechanized androids. Of course, in typically human fashion, despite such grave losses and automated manual labor there's still a need for insurance adjusters. Antonio Banderas plays one such stiff, an expectant father who stumbles upon the flicker of life behind one of those robotic worker bees and slips into a deep rabbit hole.
It's a world with a lot of promise, particularly well fleshed-out and alive. In the same vein as Blade Runner, from which it borrows liberally, the city seems to live, breathe and carry on under its own power, independent of the story at hand. Excellent production design, memorable sets and striking character models make this world an easy one to occupy.
Too bad, then, that so much of the story is bland, predictable retread. Some classic sci-fi seeds are planted in the early going, but by the climax they've been cast aside in favor of a simple good-vs-evil chase and a blunt, obvious lesson or two in morality. Banderas is crude and heavy-handed in the lead role, particularly when he's asked to hold the rudder by his lonesome for a stretch in the second act, and the film really needs far more than that from the character. An ambitious swing, but ultimately a thin, unremarkable result.
Where Furiosa isn't looking, this is my new favorite movie right now. So wonderful.
Totally thought that's Rowan Atkinson on the poster.
I just saw it great movie
I just watched the trailer and it feels like a cheaper version of iRobot?

This is actually a good movie. It´s not a hollow, CGI´d to death blockbuster with tons of explosions and little content. Although the story is not something new it is worth considering.
