really disappointed in this movie
So many things wrong.
It's boring AF, and I like "boring" movies, Moon was amazing.
Launching on a Delta II (and then showing a completely different rocket at boosters separation), really? That thing is old, would never be man-rated (too many SRBs) and can't lift that much stuff to a Mars crossing orbit.
Magnetic storms don't look like that, they don't look like anything actually, they're invisible to the human eye.
Three weeks to get to a station, where the heck is that station?? Not Moon orbit, that takes less than three days to get to and that is the only logical place to put a "fuel station" on "the way" to Mars.
About the lady who had to "turn around", there's no such thing! You can't "turn around" from a trans-Mars orbit.
EVERYTHING science related about this movie is WRONG.
Stupid guy even says "...gravity crushing me...", that's not gravity, it centripetal force from the rotation of your dumb spacecraft that turns into the Apollo CSM on Martian entry (way too steep and way too high btw) and then lands using rockets with fuel coming from the writers ass.
You choose the worst possible landing site, filled with mountains and big ass boulders, step out of the "lander" by a narrow ass door that looks nothing like the one on the aforementioned Apollo CSM that you presumably landed with.
Slechte film met weinig spannende momenten.
Zonde van de tijd.
Not that much happened actually
It’s like a book on tape, with video.
Oh and it sucks! This guy does not have a voice you want to listen to for 90 minutes.
If Gravity and The Martian somehow didn't exist, I'm sure this would have been slightly more known, but as it is, it is a less action filled, less "thinky" space flick about the first manned mission to Mars. Tom Strong gives a very solid performance and you get some sense of why his character is doing what he's doing, but there's not quite enough exploration of his head space to call this a deep character study. There's also not enough problem solving to make that aspect a focusing central piece. At the end of it all, this is mostly a "slice of life" film about an astronaut headed to Mars. And with that being what it was, it wasn't bad.
I don't know guys.... I don't know what to say.
I didn't keep track on the length of the movie. It was cool, awesome, exciting, flabbergasting, earth-shattering until the last five minutes approximately.
I got in his head, I was pondering over the problem just like him, trying to find a solution just like he was (you know, a movie ain't movie if it doesn't have problems lol). And when I thought the problem would be solved....well...Lol
All I can say is that I was left mouth wide open with a feeling of rip-off. I paid time in my live to watch a movie that is not finished.
If the movie is a ball and you see just this one side the movie proposed you, you'll feel the rip-off. But I wanna rotate the ball and see the possible endings of it.
Cheaply made and horrible script.
Held my interest at first but as I approached the unknown I began to get bored. There is nothing wrong with a slow paced movie with minimal characters but this didn't get anywhere interesting.
Just watched and putz ... THAT DISAPPOINTMENT, very disappointed!
I was hoping that the film was good, the trailer seemed reasonable. I get to watch 1h30m the early bird ... it was better to have gone to sleep!
SPOILER ALERT !!!
The film has a slow development, very slow, almost stopping. The script is poor and bored, full of situations without scientific explanation. Costume borders on the ridiculous, especially in the last scene. Multiple takes of the universe with nebulae and other TOTALLY phenomena out of context. He really tries to imitate a bit "2001" but without success. special effects clearly show the film and low budget because they are bad, unconvincing! The scenes are becoming repetitive and 60 min. film (of the 90) I was able to predict what would be the end, but I was hoping it would happen something, a turnaround, but she does not.
My pro film score was 2.5 / 10 and recommend not waste your time with this crap
I am very disappointed with this movie it was born to the beginning to the end

Many may expect this movie to be exciting, a rollercoaster, or maybe an action sci-fi.
It's non of these things, and clearly is not intended to be so. This film intimately depicts a personal journey on which we are invited to contemplate the beauty of life along with the wonders and complexities of our existence, and maybe even our amazing achievements, albeit from a niosey and often chaotic Earth. But this is not without juxtapositioning the overwhelming beauty and vastness of an alien and hostile universe in which, we are ironically gifted our infinitesimal existence; despite which, we just can't help explore regardless of the risks. It's not the best movie in the 'World' granted, but far from a waste of time for many; it's simply a cosy little thinkers movie. :)
