The Alien and Predator franchises weren't intended to to be connected, but there have been two cross-over films.

The DVD extras from Prometheus suggest that Blade Runner (and the connected titles) exists in the same universe.

Why Predator and Alien are together on this list:
Altough many Alien fans hate it, from Predator perspective the two worlds were always in the same universe. From Predator 2 and that Xenomorph skull on the trophy rack, through Alien versus Predator movies and the many references other Predator movies have.

Why Blade Runner on this list:
"This world could easily be the city that supports the crew that go out in Alien. So, in other words, when the crew of Alien come back in, they might go into this place and go into a bar off the street near where Deckard lives. That’s how I thought about it." - Ridely Scott in Blade Runner Commentary

Why Soldier on this list:
Writer of the movie, David Webb Peoples co-wrote Blade Runner and director Paul W.S. Anderson considers it as a "sidequel" to Blade Runner. It contains a bunch of references to Blade Runner too.
