Acts of Violence 2018

One of the better comedies I've seen recently.

I wasn't surprised to find that Acts of Violence was a typical Willis film. While the action scenes were impressive, the plot felt unrealistic, and the acting was lacking. Despite these flaws, the movie was still an enjoyable experience, especially if you're a fan of the genre. Overall, a decent movie for action fans looking for some mindless entertainment. However, if you're looking for a well-written plot or top-notch acting, you may want to look elsewhere.

I appreciate the dark nature of the story, but 'Acts of Violence' is poor in most other areas; despite some decent cinematography in parts.

Bruce Willis, first and foremost, barely features, so if you're watching this just for him then you will be disappointed. The rest of the cast aren't anything to be remembered, though Cole Hauser is a cut above his castmates.

The premise is poorly crafted. It begins at its worst point, with average set up and monotonous character introductions. It then raises the bar slightly, before actually seemingly ending at a high moment. Unfortunately, as what felt inevitable, they add a needless extra twist at the death which ruins a potentially satisfactory conclusion.

Not much to enjoy with this one, unfortunately. At least it is short.

This is not a great movie but it is better than most of Willis' recent "paycheck" movies he's been doing. This one at least had a decent storyline and action. The cop-side of the storyline although felt a bit detached from the rest of the story.

A rote crime thriller, Acts of Violence is a pretty standard revenge film. When a young woman is abducted her fiancé and his two brothers team-up to find her and discover that she’s being held by a crime boss who’s running a sex trafficking ring. Featuring Cole Hauser, Shawn Ashmore, Sofia Bush, and Bruce Willis, the film has a fairly strong cast. And the action scenes are especially well-done. However, the script is rather weak and does a poor job at integrating the main plot with a subplot about a burned out cop who’s investigating missing girls and gets a lead on the crime boss who’s behind their abductions. Also, the film doesn’t really develop a sense of family between the brothers. Still, the performances by the cast are able to make up for some of the script’s weaknesses. While Acts of Violence is underdeveloped, there’s a fair amount of suspense and intrigue and it does some interesting things with the material.

Not awful, just painfully average! For undemanding action fans only.

Production value is above decent but the writing, directing and most acting are HORRENDOUS. I can not believe the rating this movie has! Bruce Willis plays a very minor role.

C-Grade action movie with an excuse for a story. Seriously, Bruce? What made you decide to do the movie? It's as if a twelve-year-old had written this script.

very poor production, very predictable movie, lack of story and scenario, wasted 1.5 hrs watching ot till the end
