Acts of Vengeance 2017

It's as if Banderas is trying to become the next Liam Neeson mature action star, what with this and Security. The latter is fairly entertaining, but this is very by the numbers, and not worth your time. The narration doesn't help - did the filmmakers not remember the motto, 'show don't tell?'

Decent vigilante flick. The outcome is interesting, and raises some good questions, especially for this genre. The rest is fairly by-the-numbers though...

The trailer showed an ok to interesting story. But then... Coincidence hopping and the amazing 1 minute fitness routine to turn normal to Superman.

Acting was good but everything else was bland. .

I have to say that Acts of Vengeance is a thrilling ride from start to finish. Antonio Banderas delivers an intense and compelling performance as a man seeking revenge for the murder of his wife and daughter, and the film's tight script and well-choreographed action scenes keep the excitement levels high throughout. While the film may not break any new ground in terms of plot or characterization, it's a solid entry in the revenge thriller genre that's sure to satisfy.

Cheaply made but reasonably well directed as you'd expect by Isaac Florentine. I really hate these digitally shot high framerate productions though. They just look so much like a soap-opera.

Stretches believability down a well-trodden path in these post-Taken days. Predictable. Underwhelming.

Kudos to Antonio Banderas for performing his own fights. But this real B-movie schlock that you only get away with when the star is exceptional.

5.25/10

Every leading man gets a shot at playing John Wick once in his later years. Banderas misses his by a lot.

A rich beat cop keeps every bit of evidence and a video of his crime in a bag in his beautiful house with no burglar alarm that he locks with keys he keeps in a planter next to the front door!? This is what DTV has come to?

Not a bad movie but it could have been a lot better without the monologue. Fully predictable but worth the watch on a rainy day.

I was looking for something that required no brain usage, after a long day, and this totally filled the bill. Antonio Banderas plays liam Neeson playing a mute avenger. soapy story with lots of fighting scenes and loose ends. 5/10, don't except anything special.

Antonio Banderas goes to plan Liam Neeson when his wife and daughter are killed, I find it weird, but it looks good

Superficial and boring. If they would have taken Liam (or at least Steven Seagull) then it would be believable, but Antonio.... just no...

The movie is deep! You really have to listen to fully understand the story and the stand of where the character is coming from.
But what I like most is that there is still justice to every action he chose to take.

A by-the-numbers revenge/vigilante story. Done well enough to be enjoyable, but don't know expect anything memorable.

The fighting scenes are good and just that. You can turn off your brain and watch it :P.
