This movie shows a cancer patient with a feisty upbeat attitude enjoying life to the full till her death.
There are some things not quite right about the movie. First of all they keep saying how good looking Gael Bernal is but he really isn't. In fact he is kind of gnome like.
Kate Hudson hasn't had the best roles in the past and this is no exception. She doesn't evoke much sympathy for the character and her relationship with her parents is not convincing.
In the end it felt a bit pointless. A not very well written story that lacks humor or involvement.

This film might not be the most surprising and original thing that you will ever see but it's for sure very touching and the truth is that it made me drop some tears during many parts of the film.
A Little bit of Heaven tells Marley's story, a very clever, independent and funny young woman. She makes sure to put everyone around her laughing, she is always in a great mood but that is also the way she found to hide some of the frustrations in her life. Suddenly she finds that she has a cancer and she is trying to deal with this surprising and shocking situation.
This story will certainly have all of the clichès that you might connect with a story of this kind but I always feel emotionally touched by this stories and the cast also helped to make you care about it. Kate Hudson is always lovely and she is great for portraying characters with the characteristics that Marley has. The supporting roles played by Gael García Bernal, Kathy Bates, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lucy Punch were all good.
A Little bit of Heaven is a blend of comedy and drama that will emotionally touch you. It's very sad but it's definitely a feel-good film too, that at the end of it wants to put a smile on your face.
