"Hello. You... No, fuck no, I'm not doing that."
I love how they still kept that kind of humor :D
I'm still not feeling Candace. I find her scenes a bit exhausting and she comes across as fake, but besides that the whole humor, story and mood really felt like season 1. I just hope Love will have more depth and not just be a manic pixie dream girl, but it seems likely things will take a crazy turn again, so I'm looking forward to more.
- Okay, I just figured that--
- What? There's a human alive who wants to read Crime and Punishment?
Rude! I like the Crime and Punishment parallels.
I know Joe is a complete psycho and I still didn't see the ending of this episode coming. I deadass thought he was legit trying to be good and stay away from Love.
Love gotta be a female version of Joe, right? She’s pushy and invasive to a person she just met, I was getting obsessive vibes from her. Something definitely isn't right.
Excellent start for season 2, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think that I was like most people, I did not see it coming what they showed in the last part of the episode. I could kick myself because I should have, at least I think I should have. Oh well, now I know, and it was good! But shouldn't Love figure out that Joe is watching her? I mean, she was in his apartment, she must have seen his telescope... that's pointing in the direction of her place. But how did she even know where he lived? Did she really find out from work where he lived and that he was sunburnt? I get the feeling that she is doing to Joe what Joe does. Maybe it's all Candace's setup? A sweet revenge, as she stated that she wants him to know how it feels. I must have missed something though because I am not sure who the guy is who's locked up in the storage locker.?
So happy this is back, parts of this were similar to season 1 but the show is very self aware about those moments so it works. Definitely intrigued to see where the story goes this season!
I missed HIM I missed HIM I missed HIMmm.
The Candace stuff is terrible, and so much is so unbelievable, but the characters are great and the reveal at the end of this episode made up for all the bad.
A great way to start the new season, the binge begins now
Infatuation ended with BECK
Now LOVE is my muse
A brilliant season opener. One that plays with our expectation and understanding of Joe. All that time watching Joe struggle over whether to fall into the same habits or not. While at the same time keeping him creepy. He's the protagonist but he's not a good guy and that still remains. Not like Dexter or Walter White. He's creepy and he comes off as creepy and manipulative. The show does a very good job of not letting me the viewer fall in love with Joe. And yet the back and forth was so fun. AND THEN THE ENDING!!!! hOLY WOW. It fit PERFECTLY with Joe but I didn't expect to see he had already laid his plans. I was hoping we would watch him freestyle his way this season but the reveal that he really fell on old patterns is just so good.
Too many questions
And keeping the track of what he's done and how confused he is, even confusing to watch it, at the same time adding humor, plus a deeper insight into many psychological aspects, adding almost the same amount of surrounding characters, than previous season that he will be able or not? To keep track of all he wanted to escape. If this first episode sets what's coming up, it manged t8 wrap A LOT.
Guess that's why it's a perfect start of the season, so many questions to be developed, and many are APPARENTLY predictable, but they are not. It stars very complicated only giving hints here and there then a big.?one at the end. It keeps the storyline, much more complicated than the protagonist thought himself, he even doesn't fully understand how, or what to do after what was left first season, being a soft cliffhanger, but, there much more than that. In one episode see all of these complications and his doubts and more. Way to go for big Kickstart of what's going to happen next! HE is confused and trying to get control, it even confuses what last season could have been easier to predict, complicated for him and who's watching the show trying to understand and keep track of it all, he doesn't even can, it's fun. There is doubt about it. Hope it gets developing from here, not keep adding more unnecessary things, (remember Lost?.. It didn't work or it did, but that's its debatable until today with fans, to me Lost got, no pun intended, lost.)
Great setup, crossing fingers it will get deeper into his story and find love or himself..

They sort of had me forgetting how skeevy and evil Joe is! Until the last 5 minutes.
I liked Beck the best, then Candace.
Love really gets on my nerves.Did they have to make her so loud?
