This might be my favorite episode so far. Vampires vs Werewolves is really fun (those insults, and the way it resolved!), but the highlight for me turns out to be Energy Vampire vs Emotional Vampire. I was howling at that face-off in the office:
"Remind me to email you a link to a Slate article on the millennial housing crisis"
"I don't use email ever since my computer was hacked and my identity was stolen!"
"Hackers featuring Johnny Lee Miller and Fisher Stevens is one of the few movies from 1995 that still hold up!!"
This show is getting better with each episode.
very very very very funny
[7.4/10] This is one of the instances in which having seen the movie detracts from the show. The rivalry between the Vampires and the Werewolves here is perfectly fine. The gags about both groups treating their treaty as sacred despite the fact that it was agreed to in 1993 is solid. The same goes for the werewolves peeing on Lazlo’s bizarrely familial vulva topiaries and Nandor winning the standoff via a squeaky toy. But it just doesn't match the glory of “we’re werewolves, not swearwolves”, which is not this show’s fault. That said, I did like Guillermo seeing the mutual support and diversity that the werewolf crew embraces and being jealous of it. We're only three episodes in, but I feel bad for the kid, and I’m rooting for him to get what he’s after.
That said, what makes this episode a real winner is the feud between Colin Robinson as an Energy Vampire and Evie as an Emotional Vampire. Vanessa Bayer is a great get for this role, and I love the conceit of the two of them both trying to siphon off the energy of the office via boring stories/pity-inducing stories as a duel. The two of them forming a relationship, and hunting together is a real treat, and the bit truly landed with e. I hope this isn't the last we see of Bayer on the show, because it’s a fun concept, and the two have good comic chemistry together.
Overall, the werewolf-focused half of this one suffers a bit in comparison to the groundwork the movie already laid, but the energy/emotional vampire material is gold. Honestly, this has a strong The Office vibe despite the supernatural bent, with this episode in particular really seizing on that, and I’m here for it.
Beethoven and the sh¡t he always said.
I hope this isn't the last we see from Evie.
She was so great.
"He's gonna claw that dildo right off your head, man." OMG
This show is off the charts hilarious! It’s so good! My favourite new show!
Colin Robinson, the grindingly tedious Energy Vampire really steps up as a character in this episode.
He meets his match in his office and his snarls turn from satisfaction to frustration.
Then we have a camper-than-West-Side-Story gang warfare between the werewolf pack and vampire clan.
Brilliant.

This show is great. Truly living beyond my expectations, which were huge, considering how much I love the movie. They are KNOCKING IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!!! I've got that "new fave" excitement for each show each week.
