The White Lotus

Season 2

Season 1 was great. Season 1 had good stories with the characters and progressed well. Season 2 is not so great. The story is bland and there is little to no progression with the story or characters. Each preview for the next episode keeps you thinking the characters and story will start to develop but not much has happened. It almost seems like the story is going to be rushed and thrown all together in the end.

Suprisingly this season was even better. Love me some Jennifer Coolidge

:heart:x6
I did not enjoy season 2 as much as season 1. Season 1 felt fresher.

How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

Season 2 is great! I find it better than season 1, which is surprising seeing how good the first season was. There are a few issues, but the characters are better.

The season finale was amazing. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It felt like a special episode which was not the case with the first season.

While there is one episode left, I can say the second season is not as great as the first. Much of the humor lacks the bite of the first season, but it is fun and has inspired sections (particularly F. Murray Abraham and his family).

I saw only first episode but I'm 100% Harper drowned all these people and kept them few minutes underwater after their last breath just in case

I rate it "I'm just much better than you at being a jerk" out of ten.

Just finished season 1.. was wondering how this show will do a season 2? Now i see-it’s with a whole new cast

This season started off boring to me but gets better mid-season. I had a good laugh, and the story is darker, whereas the first season gave me a Succession vibe—you know, made me hate the rich and giving the idea that the rich will always win.

Was told to only watch this season by a few people I know and was glad I did this season was very good and to my surprise it had to of my favorite Actors and actresses in it in Michael Imperioli and Aubrey Plaza so I knew it would be a good season. show kep me intrested and some parts made me laugh overall a good season.

based on all the super negative reviews I didnt start to watch 2nd season. however - I actually enjoyed this second season. jennifer coolidge remains just as annoying as in season 1.

Not as good as the first season, as many have said, but still better than half of the other shows that are on tv right now (if not more than half, in my opinion).

The Harper-Ethan couple is giving me bi-panic, I want them both

Just heavily distracted by the fact that Albie looks like Screech from Saved by the Bell

The second season of “The White Lotus” reserve up another helping of the same recipe, but this time with an Italian twist and a new set of characters. While there is an attempt to shift the focus to the locals, the main dish consists of unappetizing love stories and trivial family drama. The only returning character gets the most ridiculous storyline and is the only one to retain that feeling of awkwardness that has characterized the first season for the better and worse.

I really like this show.
While this second season is much more about sex than the first one (if the intro didn’t give it away, lmao that is beautifully f:asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol::asterisk_symbol: up hahaha), it is still nicely laced with intrigues and twists.
Daphne was probably the character that surprised me the most.
I loved Valentina once I saw her feeding the cats.
Tanya is as dumb as she was in the first season. She should have invested in the spa-girl back then.
And Mia was so great.
Great watch.

The White Lotus is an amazing show. And season 2 for me is far better than the first (which isalso very good ). The second season has a more positive feeling even though it shows again very troubled people. The final brings the question is there an evil master plan or not?

I think this is even better than season 1, because it’s about more things, it goes deeper and the balance between farce and pure drama is more finely tuned. And even though once again the murder mystery is not the point, this time it also gets quite thrilling when it wants to. The cast is amazing, Meghann Fahy is so much better than anyone else but everybody is great and Jennifer Coolidge is the best version of Jennifer Coolidge that Jennifer Coolidge ever played.

Enjoyed it more than S01

I loved it but wish we got more of Michael Imperioli and F. Murray Abraham. They felt really sidelined in the later half. I think I may have liked it more than Season 1...

I really loved this second installment of Mike White's anthology of the rich and spoiled. And guess what, the poor people come on top this time (well besides Portia). Anyways, the Italy setting does not go into waste but I do love how things that could've gotten cheesy didn't go overboard, I'm talking about the big shootout in the finale and it all shows once we see how Tanya escapes (I haven't laughed so hard in ages). Anyways, I don't think this compares to Season 1, it does rival in some bits but how many times are we going to have a murder at a White Lotus resort? I'm sure Mike White has this in mind too, right? Besides the driving force of Season 1 was the clash of the help and the rich which built to one shocking climax where although this did have its surprises, it didn't compare to how original that first installment was. I mean I enjoyed these batch of characters but none of them compare to Armond who might be the Rust Cohle of this series, someone who was so good it would be hard to top who could fit in their shoes.

I liked season 2 a lot more than the first season. I think they stand apart, and the 2nd seems to have a smoother flow.

Bringing back Coolidge for Tanya is the biggest mistake the season makes. I skipped every one of her scenes that didn’t feature Portia. Her acting is as stiff and fake as her face.

Aside from that, it was cool seeing more intertwining of stories between groups. Lucia was my absolute favorite character. Even if I cringed so hard at Albie’s white knighting being his own downfall. Expensive lesson to learn.

Although I liked season 1 more, this is still a nice one to watch. Characters are a bit “darker” and not so honest towards each other. Leaves me sometimes with a bit of a negative vibe but overall still nice to watch.

Anyone else felt the suicidal pact [sacrifice] (cringe).

It's early in, but they are going to have to go some to beat the line of Tanya asking "Who am I?" and getting the reply "Uh ... Peppa Pig?". So unexpected, so funny!
As a show, this season is gearing up to be in the same league as Succession. Amazing location, great acting.
