this episode¿? I need to breathe because it was a trip
EASILY the best episode so far. It was a little slow to get started, but once it did it was great. This was the first time I didn't find John and his plot to be boring/dull.
I think it says a lot about the shortcomings of this season so far that this episode made me care more about all of the random new characters introduced than I do about any of the main/regulars.
Hoping we get more character focused stuff like we got here.
You could watch this episode without the rest, it's brilliant, magnificent, terrifying god it's one of the best piece of cinema out there.
30 minutes in - I'm not sure how closely this follows the graphic novels but it feels like this episode was written by a really horny person who needs to get laid.
I really like this show but they do episodes like this that feel very CW. It tries to come off as an epic one location episode, like something from True Detective, Black Mirror, but it just feels really forced. With David Thewlis - once you've seen one of his performances in this state, you've seen the all.
This wasn’t my kind of episode, but that’s just my opinion. First of all, they should’ve made it a little shorter. Secondly, I kept thinking “Huh? He/She isn’t being honest, yet the ruby John’s holding is glowing?”. For example when Bette was crying on the toilet she said “I’m fine”, but John literally just told her to never lie again?
The ending was great. A fine explanation for all that happened, a warm message to heal the viewers’ wounds.
What an excellent episode, I was on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what happened next. They could have ended the season there and I would have been satisfied.
Excited to see what comes out of the next 5 episodes.
This was the single most harrowing, disturbing, and heartbreaking issue of Vertigo's golden age, one that was make or break for new readers as they hit the end of volume one. And they adapt it brilliantly, as a single setting play with its slow build, twisted turns, then the complete horror of the climax. Moving, sad, twisted. Blown away by Thewlis' take on John Dee.
Masterpiece, a slow building masterpiece.
I had very high expectations and it delivered.
Damn, this episode hits different, the best EP so far...
Super tense with such patience building. Great effects as always. Loved it
as someone who's ace i very much relate to 1) just wanting to eat ice cream while everyone else is fucking and 2) pandas that needed ten years to finally fuck for the good of their species
oh wow. best of 11
I was unsure about this one. As an episode, I did not like it. As a stand-alone story, I did.
This might have been the wildest TV episode I’ve seen in a while. As I’ve never trad the graphic novel I was caught unawares but delighted by the chaos.
My only question is how can removing lies make the madness that was that diner happen. Some of it yea but not everything.
What a fucking nightmare this episode. Humanity is so fucked up! It is so sad!
This was a good episode.. it was freaky as fuck and not at all what I expected from it..
Contradictory in its own rules
The only thing this episode was missing was the Cryptkeeper cackling at the end.
God, that was boring. What a crappy episode.
Absolutely amazing episode! Everything I would expect it to be. Completely messed up and yet very plausible.
Worst episode so far. I got the point 15 min in. It was like beating a dead horse. Genuinely skipped through a lot of it because it was so terrible
Quite the disappointment this so called challenge....
I bet Tarantino would love this diner.
I do. This episode was 10/10.
What the fuck was this episode? Weird as all hell, but I enjoyed it.

This was my most anticipated episode of the season and it didn't disappoint. It's as fucked up as the original comic issue!
