Wow, the show's last 2 seasons are shaping up to turn this into a classic. Last season's build-up is slowly paying off, though I'm not sure how much of the story going forward has to do with the colonial rush.
On top of it, Cara Gee, Wes Chatam and Dominique Tipper have had some of the best emotional scenes of this show in these couple of episodes.
Some great Drummer scenes this episode and great to see her queerness confirmed coz I've definitely had those vibes from her especially when it comes to her feelings on Naomi.
Speaking of which, her storyline is a bit meh but maybe that's because it was all so left field last season after a small mention of her son before.
Lots of stuff building and wasn't expecting the asteroid to hit so soon! Guess it's a sign of more to come!
They are setting the bar high with the events happening at the end of this episode, although a lot of information is still withheld. Hopefully this will result in a fantastic season, and not a massive clusterf. 7 episodes for a whole new balance of power is certainly short, although this might flow over in the 6th and final season
ps. I hope Amos got off earth in time.
I really enjoyed seeing a more emotional side of Drummer, and her queerness is finally confirmed, which is great! I have to say tho, these three first episodes have been a bit meh for me because I feel like not a lot has happened even though that might not certainly be true. I’m really hoping that changes soon enough, preferably in one of the coming episodes.
With the opening foreshadowing the asteroid strike, I guess it was inevitable
Oooooh, SPLASH!
Beratnas, it's about to be ON!
Naomi's plot is kind of uninteresting compared to the others...
And so starts the churn...
I'm intrigued, but bored. And finding the accents really annoying, but understand why they keep them here. Finding it a trying to hard to be Game of Thrones in space. Hmf...
I was pretty convinced that admiral Delgado's joke would be lame but I must admit that I really want to hear it now that he got interrupted... :D I wonder if I already know a similar version of that joke though (I might be imagining things but it sounded somewhat familiar).
I also wonder if an asteroid with a diameter of 10 to 14 meter can really cause that much of an impact. I'd hope that most of it would simply melt away but then again such an asteroid is really quite large and heavy if I think about it.
Cyn seems like a fun and likable character (at least he did but even when they kidnapped Naomi he really seemed to be against it).
When Drummer tried to fix the airlock malfunction by resetting it I realized that this might be quite scary and I probably wouldn't do it without a vac suit.
Alex got attacked really fast and hard after their conversation. The Martians really aren't messing around!
I am super hyped to see Alex and Bobbie in the Razorback tough! This could be so good! At least I really hope it will be (e.g. some action where Alex has to pull off some difficult high-g maneuvers).
Naomi's "plan" with Filip certainly didn't work out but even I must say that this wasn't surprising (at least if I where Filip I wouldn't be convinced by that either...).
I kinda liked the asteroid impact at the end tbh. I just hope that Avasarala's daughter and husband are ok. This might make the politics quite interesting and intense (and I didn't even find them boring before). I wonder if Avasarala will use that against Nancy. If not the others will hopefully at least start listening to her and regret their actions. Anyway, it's certainly something that'll have a huge impact and we already know that there are many more asteroids out there. And Avasarala was really right when she said that she's afraid of people throwing big rocks (was a few seasons back, IIRC - maybe even in the first one?).
Such a great show, but why all the swearing? That is what spoils it for me...

These first three episodes of the season are a great setup for the next seven weeks to come
