I hope we see the suit cam of Bobby or the drone cam footage of the Ganyemede fight in the next episode otherwise it would a little bit disappointing as a book reader.
"I mean don't get me wrong. I would do her if she let me."
"I'm glad with had this talk."
A shift in tone, made necessary by how the previous episodes wrapped up the current storyline and we've now transitioned into something new (I believe this also marks the wrapping up of the first book). It feels a lot less urgent and like a little reset of various elements. Honestly, I found it a little dull even though I'm now warming to all the characters a lot more, plus I think the actors are settling in and doing a better job overall.
Avasarala's angry speech took me right out of the episode, though. Poor writing and a very awkward delivery, it was so out of place within the scene and I found myself cringing. I do find myself liking Aghdashloo a lot more in the role now, though, and the character is becoming something closer to awesome. The episode found its feet again with a pretty strong ending with a little bit of a shock in there.
I continue to find myself wanting to enjoy this show more than I actually am.
"…I'm glad we had this conversation." I feel you, Holden.
Also, how is there no indication on any of the control screens when they're in simulation mode? I feel like that would be kind of important to have on a fighter.
This series is getting better with each episode! :)
40 minutes of boring scene after boring scene after boring scene, followed by 30 seconds of extremely rushed battle out of no-frigging-where, and 5 seconds of actual, interesting development.
How on Earth is this show so high rated?!
Ah, yes. A love story of a man obsessed with a woman, a woman who has never met him and doesn't know him. True love.
I can't believe this... Can they get any better by the episode??? It sure seems like the impossible is happening.. Remember classic Star Trek where it wasn't just all bowing shit up? And you learn more about what it is to be Human? Oh yeah!! I'm loving this! Real sci-fi
@megaframe Know what you mean, it's the crack cocaine of SciFi! It has become a need to watch not a want. Absolutely the best space series in probably a decade.
Poor Solomon Epstein. Those scenes where cool and horrifying at the same time... :D If only we had these extremely efficient Epstein drives. Anyway, that was some interesting backstory!
I gotta admit the reaction of Amos and Alex after Jim and Naomi shared their relationship was quite funny xD I really enjoyed that acting.
IMO Amos can seem like an emotionless brute but he's one of my favorite characters and I think there's a lot of depth and complexity to him.
The Martian Marines got their action on Ganymede... I hope at least Bobbie will be fine.
Holden is the kind of person you want to lead you, will always do what's right, what needs to be done, but he doesn't want that power. He just wants to do the right thing, not decide who lives and who dies, not have his crew/friends be lead to death's door by his hand. And he is exactly the kind of person who inspires that level of loyalty and belief in people.
Holden feels responsible for Miller's death.
Love the reactions to Holdena and Nomi coming clean about their relationshops.
Interesting history of the Epstein Drive, that inables interplanetrary travel. The gift and the curse of Technology : it changes everything
The Rocinante in this episode functions as a minor Earth (Amos), (Mars) and Nomi (Belters), with Holden seeing it for the chess game it is, having spent his whole life preparing trained to lead, trained to see the greater good, trained to see the game for what it is: death for all.
Still unsure what Fred Johson's is good or bad, I know he sides with the belters (he stole 30 nukes from earth)... or maybe he is just like Right and Bobby, all picked a side, a me against them game where everyone loses.
I love that Chrisjen is a fucking badass... she is a public servant that doesn't give a fuck because she is only accountable to herself and legacy, where the good of the people is not only a moral duty, but an obligation to life above all. Screw the money, screw the fame, screw the power, alll that matters is the life you are protecting... for the good of the people. Above all.
Meanwhile on Granemean (sp?) Bobby Drapper and Mars are holding their line, waiting for earth to make the first move towards war... when all hell breaks lose in the skiyes above, leaving a trail of bodies and debry...but who shot first?
Holy shit!>!>! was that an alien? or was it a promolecule being?
overall a 8.5, but that monolgue by Chrisjen was outstandingl
This gets even more complicated

I enjoyed the little Epstein backstory, it’s nice to see how things got to where they are now. Also, was that an alien at the end?
