At the start of the episode, my faith in the show had completely evaporated.
After most of the episode, with how epic and tension filled it was, it won me back entirely.
After the end of the episode, i am now back to season 1 levels, where my faith is wavering.
What a stupid move by the detective at the end. Just when i gained a lot of respect for him by being part of the assault team, now most of that respect is gone.
For example, if Earth eventually gets invaded and lost, and if we had the data and we maybe could have won, then he'd be responsible for the extinction of our entire race because of this stupid move.
It's also murder of an unarmed surrendered man who was willing to help. And minutes before, the detective was so against the others being reckless and killing people, and he was trying to save the unarmed scientists.
There's a lot of small stupid moments in the show, but this is a big one.
Chrisjen is playing very close to the fire, but it's the only way she can avoid an all out war with Mars. She needs to outmanuever the other undersecretary and play the UN council in her favor, as she moves closer to finding out what Chao and the Undersecretary are hiding.
The Rocinante crew keeps pushing their luck, trying to be the good guys and save everyone who wants war. This forces them to reveal all their info to Johnson, as they plan their next mission: attack a comms center that is guarded by a stealth ship like the one that attacked the water carrier crew.
The last 5 minutes are insane. Finally Johnson and the crew get to the person who can answer their questions of who started everything and what is the ProtoMolecule, but Miller has other ideas and kills the lead scientist from Phoebe. WTF!? what now?
The writing and the pacing keeps reminding me of all the things I love about BSG: writing that feels like i'm reading rather than watching, complex and complicated characters, amazing action sequences that have actual purpose, and slowly revealing a complex story that keeps you guessing.
Those who say that it is a game of thrones in space, some reason have
FedEx containers? Syfy are you serious?!
The best show airing at this moment!! Amazing new cast members, extrodinary writers and great characters, stellar visually effects. Just a few reasons why this show is so downright addictive!!
Props to admiral Souther, I'm on his side (a measured response without casualties and letting cooler heads prevail).
Chrisjen Avasarala and Cotyar already make a great and interesting team.
Camina is another cool character that IMO represents the Belters nicely. There are just so many great and diverse characters in this show!
Regarding the ending: Oh man, Miller is just priceless :o xD The way he shot that scientist without saying a single word - even Frederick Johnson was shocked/speechless...
PS (regarding the physics): The way the artificial gravity suddenly turned on when the Rocinante docked at Tycho station seemed completely off. To dock there they would already need to accelerate in a circle before they could dock (which might be quite tricky btw) so the artificial gravity would've already been there. I'm not complaining though, IMO this show is much much more physically accurate than others. It's just something that I've noticed - which is a rare thing. It's also worth noting that we only saw brief shots of the docking maneuver so it's difficult to properly analyze. Physical accuracy might not even be desirable for the artificial gravity as it's a Sci-Fi show and the physical limits/restrictions can make some things less "cool".
Why blast a moon of Mars, I don't understand. They're only provoking for war this way.

First episode of the season stumbled a smidge but this second episode managed to resume the pace. Wonderful show.
