Too frenetic, too much yelling. Scorsese on speed. Not enough plot. But I'll keep watching because I liked Jeremy on Shameless.
This show feels great already. Love the fast-pace of it all. Doesn't waste time getting into characters, it just lets them be and gives you what you need from there. I felt like I was in the kitchen.
God Richie is an asshole. Did I mention he's an asshole?
"Uncut Kitchen"... Quite chaotic pilot.
Boy, this show is coming in fast with no sign of stopping. INTO IT
28 minutes of unmatched artistry. the cinematography, the cuts, the framing, the angles, THE COLOR GRADING!!!!! chefs kiss.
this was such a breath of fresh air and really gets you all in with the pacing. the fact that it gets you attached to these characters in less than an hour in itself is telling of how great it is
Do people actually call their cousins "cousin"? This is one of my pet peeves in media. Siblings calling one another "brother" or "sister" instead of their names too. I have never met a person in my life who talks like that. Drives me insane when I hear it.
Anyway, good episode.
Such a great original show, can’t wait to see what is in store for the next season.
Yeah, I'm in. Big time.
So bad so far pure agony so far....
Why give Lip such a shitshow???
The pilot is alright.
Not much I could say, the whole episode is just people preparing and other family drama that's just... there.
5/10, I'm kinda hungry.
still deciding if i like it or not, but the closing song, damn cool !!!!!!!
Fun chaos that made no sense half the time
Fast pace. Love the characters! Chaotic good episode..
I guess this is for people who enjoyed Uncut Gems. That is not me.
I'm... not sure I like this. I like the setting and the premise, but the characters seem a bit formulaic and the tension feels forced and artificial. I guess I'll see.
Trying to decide if Carmy is a working man Timothée Chalamet or a working mans Kendall Roy. Aesthetically its most definitely the former but character-wise the latter two bring up the same protec instincts.
Also dear god never let me be a line cook. I break down when the vents are a little too loud when I'm cooking. This environment would tear me to shreds.
I freaking loved the frenetic editing, made me nervous in a good way.
Not sure what this show is about even after reading the description. Will see how next couple of episodes go.

The Bear took a look at the last 3 years and thought how do we concentrate all that stress into 30 minutes?
