Ace, Bob, Corinne, Kenny, Matty, Randy, Sugar, Susie
This season was kind of rough at first, but in the end you realize that's what makes you root for the survivors even harder. I didn't realize how much I cared until the end! This had a great cast though with some loveable heroes and a few...assholes.
What a clusterfuck season. The people that you would expect to go out early made it all the way to the end. I really liked Kenny, he played a Fairplay-esque game that was great. Randy was hilarious. Great stuff.

This season was more or less "doomed" early on from ever being a memorable season. When you have two exceptional seasons prior to this (Todd Herzog's remarkable strategic game in China, and the best season up to this point in Micronesia immediately before), the shoes were just too big to fill. Throughout this whole season, it seemed like the island of misfit toys of all previous Survivor seasons. There were a bunch of personalities that were reminiscent of previous Survivor greats (I mean come on, the winner, Bob, was a poor man's Tom Westman, except slightly worse at challenges despite winning a bunch down the stretch, was slightly less strategic, was slightly less likable from a fan standpoint, was slightly less deserving of winning, but did ultimately will his way to a win at the end of the day), and somehow the oddball characters lasted really far into the game. There were no new twists. The challenges were also kind of uninspired. BUT...I enjoyed it. It was a good season. The characters made almost every episode comical in some way, but there was no real lasting appeal. And that final tribal council was AWFUL. We are talking "Tell me why you deserve to win or why you deserve it more than the other two?", to which the response was "I don't think they deserve it.". It was cringe at best to watch. Overall, this season is easy to forget considering the seasons before, which was similar to Season 9 when Chris Daugherty won. Season 9 followed the breakout Amazon, amazing Pearl Islands, and the very enjoyable All Stars. Chris was a good winner, but the season had a hard time sticking. Bob is a good winner for Gabon, but after watching Herzog in China and Black Widow Brigade in Micronesia, this season will just have a hard time sticking. It's worth a watch if you enjoy the show, it will likely just be forgotten in the grand scheme of things. It is once again a testament that "bad" Survivor is still "good" television.
