I quite liked it.
...Now I want someone to make me cookies.
Am I the only one feeling no sense of urgency? The show keeps telling me how they don't have time because Chuck can end the world at any moment, but I don't feel that at all. It almost feels like Chuck wants to be defeated and is giving the gang time to do so.
It is confirmed that Dean Winchester is a Luigi fan. Noted.
Jack would actually be Gen Z. Sam and Dean are millennials.
How convenient that Cas wasn't in this episode. The writers don't even bother trying to come up with an excuse for his absences anymore.
They...really couldn't have tried breaking the door down some other way?
Best episode of the season. The first episode that didn't feel like a drag. It was filler, unfortunately, but at least it was good filler. While it doesn't quite earn a 9/10, I'm giving it one since it's the only episode this season I've enjoyed start to finish...

Damn, I just knew she was too good to be true, but a part of me wanted the boys to catch a break. All's well that ends well I suppose. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Still can't believe there's only half a dozen episodes left! sob
Real nice monster of the week episode. I really appreciate those - makes re-watching much more viable than a big arch that you kinda remember.
Nice way to handle COVID too I guess - all filming was indoors without being on set.
Jack sure has grown. Shame about the Nymph. Ouch, the finger nails.
Hey there. This episode has not been aired yet. Please fix this.
Thanks
It's good to have this one back for its final run. But as has been the case for much of this final season, the timing was just a bit off more often than not and the humor was just missing the mark more than it was hitting it. The best part of this one, really, was the actress playing the nymph who, frankly, acted circles around everyone else. I thought that the improvements to the bunker would be a valuable addition down the stretch, but the writers had them literally hit the reset button on that one so that it was ultimately little more than an average filler episode. Still, as I said, it's good to have this one back.
Well, hell o boy s!
This is a filler, in the complete sense, and it's weird to get one so close to the end when it seems everything should be intense and high-stakes, but I really loved it (although keep in mind it's light in action), so I can't complain too much.
Mrs. Butters was a great and interesting addition here. Seeing the boys so happy, carefree and finally being able to celebrate everything they've been missing, at least once, in a wholesome way, made me so happy. I also loved having someone actually taking care of them for a change, in a way that's not a life or death situation, but in a simple and typical one. Even if it was short lived, i'm glad they were able to experience a warm home with so much enthusiasm and innocence. You could say this is the closest they ever got to experiencing a "childhood".
My only real complaint (there are some details here or there, but whatever) is that Cas isn't there at all and without explanation. I understand how it could complicate things, but at least mention him. And he should have definitely been there for Jack's birthday!! that would've made it perfect.
*Rating 9, but as a lighthearted, stand-alone.

this was one of the best fillers in the show.
