The show is so good so far. The only downside is the hopping back and forth between the present and the past without warning,

I’m putting my money down right here on poisoned suits. I know why it’s plausible but I’m also like 80% sure the screens they are watching is like augmented reality and not just reality reality. You know? I hope past that hill is a flourishing society of people that have escaped
The acting in this show is top notch.
Pretty sure none of those who went outside are dead. That's part of the control mechanism to keep people inside. The people in power are obviously afraid to loose it. They destroyed all evidence of what happened in the past so they can create their own myth. Yeah, I know I'm stating the obvious. Maybe they are even living on the surface themselves and don't want to share ? Maybe the Silo is important for things on the surface to work, part of a machinery ?
But it leaves the question open why no one ever came back.
The Silo's architecture and look reminds me alot of Tsutomu Nihei's megastructures in 'Blame' and 'Sidonia'. So. other thing, as the suit does not prevent someone dying outside why noone ever jus says "fuck the suit".. Obviously theres somehing put in, that makes the ppl collapse when they go outside, tho, I'm not sure they really kill them or jus let them faint and then collect them and whatever.. Maybe theres a secret society outside and the Silo is some kind of test and only the ppl who are brave and curious enough to go outside gets chosen or something.. And the ppl who control the Silo are either with them or against them hmm..
When Holston Becker left the silo, he saw the outside world in color and green. But the residents of the silo see the outside in black and white. All the time we watched Alison Becker's body lying outside near the tree. But when Holston approached the tree, there was no news of Alison's body, but the residents of Silo watched Alison's body and Holston's movement towards Alison at the same time. In my opinion, the image that is broadcast from the outside to the silo residents has been edited and is not what happened outside the silo. The cause of death of the people who leave the silo is the protective clothing and helmet, which probably causes the death of people by the release of poison, so that the inhabitants of the silo are afraid to go outside.
Good start, hope they keep up that good performance and tempo in the next episodes.
It be pretty funny if the silo was some sort of holding ground for cattle for the rich people outside of the silo for medical reasons.
In reference to the note, being torn off, I think, rather than being a case of sloppy production, I think it’s more showing you have somebody really doesn’t want to know what happens. That’s somebody’s way of hiding something, either that, or somebody found out what Holston was doing Before he was sent outside, and they didn’t want anyone else to know about it.
We really liked how it started, we will keep watching

I noticed that the note Juliette found at 18:50 reads "Remember where you were the last time you saw this? I found what I was looking for," whereas the note she handed to the sheriff at 27:45 reads "Remember where you last saw this?" (and then it's cut off, being torn in half). Production error? Feels kind of sloppy for a show that otherwise has amazing production design and a very keen attention to detail.
Overall, so far I like the show! I don't remember much from the books, but the looks and atmosphere seem to have been captured incredibly well here.
