If Alan’s story felt secondary last season this season it’s extra clear they don’t know what to do with him. He doesn’t seem to be considering the ethics of the situation he so badly wants to stay in either.

So it was Germany.. But not as his father! Definitely an odd one. I really loved seeing Alan so happy in the first portion of the episode. Such a shame it didn't last :(
