Russian Doll: Season 2

2x03 Brain Drain

Come on Nadia, it's been one season and three episodes already so it's not like you're new to this time travelling back and forth stuff! Have you learned absolutely nothing from the previous experience? You are not helping yourself by telling everyone in the world you're your own daughter! I'm not surprised that you are starting to lose it.

I understand the show is probably trying to say that her mother's condition is affecting Nadia's sanity too, and Nadia is learning to be more sympathetic and understanding of her mother through this journey. But I'm sure there are better ways of executing this because now I can't even tell what the show is trying to portray. Is Nadia to relive her mother's experience and learn from it, or is the show telling us Nadia is partly to blame for her unhappy childhood due to her own series of bad decisions which made her mother's condition worse?

Oh wow that was some worrying stuff between Nadia and her mother. Hope she makes it out of this sane!

I was optimistic after episode 2 that the story was getting better. This was funny enough, but wherever the story is headed I’m kinda just along for the ride at this point.
