5x19 Chapter Ninety-Five: RIVERDALE: RIP (?)

So much stupid shit in this episode, I don't even know where to begin.

• Archie and Veronica broke up? I thought they were just taking a break and slowing things down (i.e. not moving in together). Whatever, I don't care at this point.
• Betty becomes a full FBI agent. How? She abandoned training. Also, she gets to reopen the Riverdale field office (dumb that one existed to begin with) and comments that Riverdale has so much crime that she'll be kept busy. The writers either don't know, or are deliberately ignoring how the FBI works. FBI agents aren't some super police force that get to go wherever they want and work on any crime cases they want. They are federal agents and get assigned to federal cases. The crime happening in Riverdale would not be a federal concern, at all.
• We were told, at the beginning of this timeskip, that Riverdale was on the verge of becoming a ghost town. So where's all this crime coming from? Who is committing these crimes, if it's a ghost town?
• Jughead is a documented alcoholic who skipped out on months of work without notifying anyone. There's no way in hell he would be allowed to teach at the school again.
• Fangs says he's "been a Serpent since birth." At the beginning of this timeskip, we were told that the Serpents disbanded, and Toni, Fangs, and Sweet Pea revived the Serpents only recently. So which is it, writers? Oh, right, it's whatever they want it to be at that particular moment, because no one cares about continuity on this show.
• Remember when Jughead was Serpent King, and Toni threw a bitchfit about not being the Queen, so she left and started that stupid Pretty Poisons crap? But now Toni is ok with sharing power? I guess if the writers can't even be bothered to remember something from earlier in the same season, I shouldn't expect them to remember something from previous seasons.
• For having been set on fire and exploding and shit, the interior of Pop's sure did look pristine when Tabitha was in there with Jughead, and later with Pop. They even still had power - the jukebox was on. Stupid.
• They're seriously holding this important town meeting in Archie's gym? They have a town hall.
• Archie says the four council members have "deep roots" in Riverdale. Uncle Frank had moved away from Riverdale for like half of his life, and Tabitha only recently moved there. You're just straight up lying.
• Opening a casino in Riverdale is about as stupid as opening a high-end jewelry store in Riverdale. Who the fuck is supposed to be patronizing these establishments? It's a small town! You wouldn't make any money!!
• Where did Veronica get that space for that casino at the end? Did they magically have an appropriately sized place in the back of the jewelry store? God, this shit is so stupid.
• Everything with Cheryl is so ridiculously dumb that I'm not even going to waste my breath on it. (Or... fingers. You get what I mean.)

I'm convinced that the writers of this show decided to see how utterly stupid they could make the show before enough people stopped watching it. I can't believe there's two more seasons of this shit.
