Charles, FBI, working with his teenage half sister to bring down a cult. Ridiculous.
Cheryl has her stuffed dead brother hidden in a weird dungeon part of the house but leaves him sitting there under a mere blanket while she throws a party upstairs. Ridiculous.
Archie and Veronica both know Reggie gets beaten by his dad and don't inform any adults or police about it. Ridiculous.

This show is so silly but somehow I can't quit. I'm too invested now.

Wasn’t it already common knowledge Reggie got beat? Can’t remember who said it before, maybe it was one of the adults. I don’t know what Archie was thinking confronting Reggie’s dad like that, and was trashing the car really all Reggie needed to do to get his abusive dad to stop? The man who beat him for “as long as he remember”? Weird. Probably will be more to the story, but still.

This show is getting stupider and stupider.
Why the need for the Chicago performance? Camila Mendes can sing but, that was awful.

I don't know how this show continues to surprise me with how non-sensically bad it can be. Copying the Ferris Bueller car smashing scene pretty much verbatim tipped this episode over the edge. And then the Chicago number made it even worse - all to make a tenuous, unnecessary, and unsubtle parallel.
I will say I laughed when Mr. Jones said "it's going to be a great year" and it smash-cut to the Jughead search party.

Yep, right back into the stupid.

I like how Mad Dog can just choose to return to school, and it's no big deal. That's not how that works! At all!
Also, why does Archie still have a place on the football team? He hasn't done anything football related for like a year and a half at this point.

The plot about Jughead moving to a new school was stupid, because any such recruiting would've taken place before the school year. I also loved how Jughead and Betty just literally got up and walked out of class, right in front of the teacher, so Betty could tell him to go move to the new school. Again, not how that works! At all!
I legitimately could not tell who was supposed to be a teacher and who was supposed to be a student at Stonewall.

The new principal telling Veronica to take a sabbatical... from high school... for the third time, not how that works!

This whole FBI agent formerly dead brother thing is all suspicious. Are they really going to be doing another fake FBI agent storyline?

Why are the stitches all of a sudden removed from Cheryl's brother's mouth? Is she making out with her dead brother's corpse now too? We all know that this show is pretty fucked up so, who knows!
