Just when you think Riverdale can't surprise you anymore and that you're prepared for all the weird things, they'll come at you with an episode like this. What a wild ride. I don't even want to admit it, but I still enjoyed it.
Though a big part of me just wants to make fun of so many small details. I can't even write them all down. Let me just say that Cheryl dressing up as Little Red is exactly the kind of extra I expect from her, I'm sure Jughead is not dead, please don't let Hal have a secret twin and last but not least I can't believe we still have one more episode because that absolutely felt like a season finale.
After the oh so sucky last episodes, the musical one specially, they finally recovered with this one.
Do you think the writers know they're bad at their jobs? I feel like they think this whole "I have a darkness inside me" thing they keep repeating is considered Good Writing and that makes me sad.
Funny that Fangs was killed by a single gunshot, yet Jughead will, somehow, survive getting thrashed by a whole gang.
So attracted to Cheryl Blossom right now. She has that sexy Red Riding Hood thing flowing.
Very chaotic episode, and not in a good sense. They need to change the director and some writers.
This season would have been hell of alot better if we'd gotten to this point sooner, however crazy this all is. If they'd cut out all that teen drama in the middle of the season or maybe kept it tight it'd been as much fun as the 1st one. Let's be clear, this isnt award winning stuff, all. We need are kids dealing with scenarios way greater than themselves and coming out on top. The middle of of this season had way too much nonsense going on.
Very good episode. But I don't know how Cheryl managed to wear a red outfit after escaping from the window! lol
This was very thrilling, chaotic, and non-stop action. Almost a little too much action.
Small fry is not SMALL though, haha!
Can't wait for the next episode. It's going to be great, hopefully.
After way too much soap and way too much filler in pretty much every episode this season, the writers explode every plotline and every character arc and every loose thread in this one. Or to put it another way, they went from screwing up the pacing from one direction to screwing it up from the other, with plenty of head-scratching details to go along with it. This season could have been SO much better if they'd just spread the wealth better. It's as if they got late word that the show was being canceled and they needed to wrap things up NOW. The one bright spot? The amazingly annoying and smug and self-righteous Jughead is dead. Or should be, based on how many thugs were pounding away at him with no end in sight. But I wouldn't put it past this show to have him survive somehow, even though you'd think that FP would have taken him directly to the hospital instead of going with the cliche-ridden option of carrying his downed son back to his "family" -- if Jughead was still alive at this point. Time will tell. Meanwhile, one Black Hood is caught while one is still out there. With one episode left in the season -- and probably the last that I'll be watching of this hot mess -- we'll see how they wrap things up next week.
Yes! This was an amazing and super intense episode. I loved everything! Plus finally some a Choni moments. But I never really liked Jughead and the only thing that I was upset about at the end was how sad the others were
Yes yes yes to this entire episode! The refound the magic. Cheryl in red with a bow, YES! Veronica and Hermione finally standing up to Hiram. and the Cooper family drama, I knew it! With Hal out of the way, will it be game on for F.P. and Alice? and what the hell, is Jughead dead? He can't be right?
Once more, they took out almost all the excitment of the "big" revelation. Oh and... Daddy issues much?
Also, remember how b.h. wanted betty "aaall for himself"? Yeah that's not cringy at all
So much shit goes down in this episode!!! Awesome!
Well... that was bad-ass. From the sprinkles of "The Warriors" and "Assault on Precinct 13" and a whole load of other pulp movies that clearly (?) inspired this episode... to the Red Scourge that is Cheryl... RAWR.
The whole Hal Cooper part though... Bit weird and didn't make any sense.
felt like I'm in Gotham city, oh God.. this episode left me in shock.
This episode was a wild ride. Some good things, some bad things. There is still a lot to do this season and with one episode left, Im worried about the time, but hoping for a exciting finale.
How did Cheryl put that outfit on so quickly? There's no way she had enough time.
Aside from FP, Tall Boy (who is now gone), and that one Serpent dude that Archie got into a confrontation with the one time he went to the White Wyrm, there are zero Serpent adults that have had speaking lines. It's all teenagers. What the fuck kind of gang is this? Why are no adults making decisions? Why are they all listening to teenagers?
I did think it was funny how when they were voting to go to war, Cheryl raised her hand, as if her vote counted.
Umm, wasn't "Small fry" (the oaf who Mrs. Lodge shot) the so called second Black Hood? He has the build, and was wearing the exact clothes and leather jacket as him!
Hopefully the season 3 killer isn’t someone’s dad.
This show seems really bad compared to the comics...
What a powerful ending to EP 20s prelude to chaos. Strong acting, fitting music, intensity, violence, chaos (a real judgement/apocalypse type event) and highly emotional (cried a bit at FP carrying Juggy). Loved Cheryl Everdeen of Riverwood. (Instead of Shirwood).
My suspicion of the Dad turned out true. Sadly children are taught and grow up that way in often and are damaged as a result. I’m amazed that I still have many more episodes to watch. The past two episodes easily tops the entirety of Season 1!
Man FP walking through the smoke holding Jughead's bloody body totally made me shed a tear.

The "Hot Riverdale Dads" walking into Pop's together is easily the highlight of this episode.
