[Disney+] "Love Victor" is like traveling back in time. The representation of sexual identity (binary, of course) reeks of conservatism. The color for the gay characters is pink, while normalization returns to acceptance (being accepted by others). Heterosexual marriage, as the main institution, survives. Disney creates a multiverse of sexual identity that must exist in some parallel universe.

So disappointed with this season. When a relationship finally happens they immediately have to introduce a new love interest, come on, really?
Benji and Victor had just gotten into a relationship but to make the show more dramatic they thought he needed a new love interest apparently.
Raheem is a great character but it was just so obvious from the start what would happen. I guess we'll have to wait who he chooses but I'm seriously disappointed that the writers thought this would be a good plotline.
Pilar and Felix are also a cool concept but it's such a weird decision? Felix and Lake were such a great couple, they're really good for each other and have both grown so much so it makes no sense to just throw away a relationship like that.
The only thing I'm happy about right now if I have to accept the events that happened is the possible relationship between Lake and Lucy.
Bruh. HUGE step down quality wise. In the first season, the characters make the drama happen, and the drama serves the storytelling, the character arcs, and the themes. In the second season, the drama happens for the sake of drama, and just to the characters rather than FOR them. Thus, a lot of things feel unearned, the plot feels wandering, and a lot of it overall just sort of eh. The dialogue alone is just not funny. I did like the storyline with the mom, however. That storyline was SO GOOD. Everything else kinda ate it.
