This was a rather cartoonish spin on some of the tensions that have arisen off the back of the current situation in Gaza. This show usually handles these things better but this was quite a weak story combined with a weak guest cast.

Why couldn't they have explained Cosgrove leaving tying it into his daughters testimony last season, they needed to move for her to go to new school, kids shunning her at school after testimony sending kid away. Relocating to Boca to work with Bernard at his private firm. All stuff they mentioned last season.

Not quite sure what message they wanted to send with this episode, especially with the verdict. But the case against the history professor/agitator as it stands was incredibly weak. And I think Maroun should have led that testimony of the professor because she would have balanced out the "I am from the middle east, and I know how they're suffering"-angle the professor was going for. They should have gone for the boy, maybe have that professor as a witness and let the audience/jury make their own conclusions. Overall, I don't think it's very wise to use such recently arisen tensions immediately in an entertainment series. There's too little time for a deeper exploration (especially since that conflict didn't start on Oct 7th), and I guess the political situation's still evolving.

More U.S. oversimplification of US/Israeli war on Palestine. The problem with creating entertainment out of real live events is it comes across as trite. I know its a focus on freedom of speech but the issues are just too big for the storyline or the character portrayal
